This is really picky ( matter of pence over the year) but for the transfer via the Cheap Energy Club to Eon the Gas rate is quoted as 3.946p per kWh but the email I have received today from Eon notifying me of the account details quotes 3.947p.0

So Lets cut to the chase which tarriff is cheaper Fixed 1 year version 12 or MSE collective switch?
Hi jill33
Depends on your particular circumstances. The region you're in, type of meter, usage etc.
I'd pop your details on to the independent comparison sites. These will list all the tariffs available to you, both with us and with the other suppliers.
Except, that is, for the MSE Collective Switching Scheme. You'll need to compare this manually with the other tariffs. See how it stacks up.
Hope this helps jill33.

I'm thinking of switching to e.On. How often will I be able to provide meter readings? (With my current supplier I can do this once a month, which is handy for keeping track of energy use + making sure account is correct)
Hi latinaid
Always happy to take meter readings from customers.
You can let us have them monthly if that's good for you or more frequently if you like. Although, as Blackdog says, only one set in every 24 hour period.
Also, if sending them through our website, you're limited to 12 sets every 3 months.
If you want to use the Saving Energy Toolkit (Energy Tracker) Blackdog mentions, it's best to put them in on the last day of each month. Helps improve the accuracy of the tool.
Hope this helps latinaid.

Are the 1,500 Eon reward points being offered with the MSE Fixed 1 year collective switch specific to that tariff?
Do you offer points for switching to the Fixed 1 year V12?
That is coming up as £1 cheaper a year for me than the Collective Switch, so the points may swing it for me!
Hi purplestar133
Although we've no involvement with the MSE Collective Switch tariff during the initial sale, after that it's business as usual as far as customer service is concerned.
Reward points are available with this tariff provided you opt into the scheme.
The 1500 points you mention aren't exclusive to the MSE Collective Switch tariff though. There are several eligible products including the Fixed 1 Year version 12 tariff.
In total, we award 1500 points annually. They build up daily and show on bills on a monthly basis.
Also, we don't issue extra points for switching tariff.
Hope this answers your questions purplestar133.

Hi Sodeska
Don't worry about being picky, it all counts in the end.
If our confirmation email says 3.947p per kWh this is the price we'll charge.
Hope this helps.

Hi Malc,
I just moved into my new home. E.ON is the supplier for both energy.
If I switch through MSE Cheap Energy Club, do I still get the offer of:
"Your standing charge will be £70 lower than other payment methods if you pay by Fixed Monthly Direct Debit"?
Many Thanks,

Hi HawkFun
Hope the move went well and wasn't too stressful.
Yes, you'll be ok. No matter which way you join us, you'll still be able to have the cheaper daily Standing Charges for paying with a Monthly Direct Debit.
Have you contacted us to tell us about the move?
If not, you can talk to our specialist Home Moves team or use the moving home form on our website.
I do understand there's a thousand and one things to do when moving home but, if you're able to tell us the meter readings when you took over, it'll help us keep things accurate.
Hope this helps and best wishes for life in your new home.
