chocodawn - i assume you have connected to the wireless router using the ethernet network cable from your pc to one of the ports on the router and is the lan light lit on the router?
jo77 and thriftymiss - are you using the setup screen thru your browser by typing the router's ip address?0 -
thanks jnd. Looks like that could be it!!!!! Can't see where it says to do that on the instructions though.0

I'm another buyer trying to get the router to work on my Tiscali connection. I've gone through the whole setup process fine, and the connection status shows up as connected when I click on the shortcut item installed.
However, when I try to open the internet browser it comes up as 'Error 680: There was no dial tone'.
Am I missing something obvious? Any advice?!0 -
Go into Tools, Internet options, Connections tab, select whatever dial-up setting is there, click Never dial a connection. As the router makes the connection itself you no longer need to dial.0

from thrifty miss i have used ethernet cable and have connecred to the router IP address (numbers with .'s?) and gone in to the set up system right thru til it says 'saving stttings' then the percentage goes up and then the thing says check asdl (which seems fine) cannot connect etc. at the first screen of the set up i have clicked the connect button for asdl and the fourth green light on the router goes on (online light) but when save settings is going ahead the light switches off when i get the 'cant connect' message. even been to this web site to see the problems other have had (this may help others will post it below)

thriftymiss, is this router replacing an exisiting modem for your broadband connection? If so, I assume if you reconnect your old modem you get on just fine? You say the 4th green light... is that not the WLAN light?0
