Just brought the Talktalk wireless router am going to give the wireless adapter to my flatmate (as I have wireless inbuilt in my laptop).

Great buy. Also brought a Goodmans freeeview settop box for £20. Both good buys & site was easy to use.

    Thanks Martin.

. Add a 4.99 (inc VAT plus p&p) 54g USB dongle and your laughing.

where can u get a dongle for this price? are the ones at this price usable with other branded wireless networks without dabbling into changing set ups as not very good at that sort of thing.

Can someone help a techno thicko please.

I have a decent MESH puter (although it has been a pain, the specs are high) and my son has a PS3 in his bedroom.

Now when I was on wanadoo they sent me a wireless router for talk and phone or something which was stuck on top of a cupboard as Ive no idea what to do with it.

Son now has his PS3 and is wanting to route from the main pc so he can do internet gaming from his bedroom.

Question is, I have talktalk broadband - will the Wanadoo wireless thing work with it? If not, please could someone in words of one syllable explain what we need to get to let son have his PS3 on at the same time as me working from the office.

Oh, please explain how to me and whether I can use the old wanadoo one they sent me. Or if I buy this talktalk one is it REALLY easy to fit up?

Son has the old computer ME in his bedroom which he intends to use with the PS3 for gaming.

    Help!

I have a brand new FON router which I am happy to sell off for £15. It has FOn software on it, but if anyone wants DD-WRT on it, I can do that.

If you don't know what DD-WRT is check out google.
  • Just a note of caution for people - if you are intending to play games over the internet you need to have a router that will enable port forwarding and lots of then! I just had a look at a site and it looks like the linksys router will do this but no idea about the other one

Having recently bought one of these I can confirm that it does support port forwarding. Instructions can be Found here:

    http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Philips/SNA6500/SuperSync.htm

As has been mentioned elsewhere, this router is a rebranded Philips SNA6500, you'll find the manual for it here:
