But, dinner has been decluttered, and I've been creating shopping lists on the new thing at tesco groceries. Hopefully will make shopping online a bit quicker.
And I sorted my money thing out from yesterday.
They are watching Harry Potter now... So I guess I'll sort the dishes out and try to locate present for DS friends birthday at the weekend. And wrap it, and do some cards.

Well it HAS been quiet on here today;)
Bossymoo has been asleep, I've been to work this afternoon - and we had a finance chap here this morning, so my attention was needed there!
We had an early breakfast, showered, then had a ten minute tidy - after a good clean yesterday - so it was looking nice. (We have actually sorted some stuff and it's gone to charity, or the loft, so we are looking less cluttered.) The good news is that our finances are okay and although we aren't wealthy by any means, we are comfortable. I think I've mentioned before, my first husband was both a drinker and a gambler, so I've had my years of nothing. So hard up I only had two pairs of knickers and tops etc at one stage, and had to wash and dry them overnight ready for next day! Beans and sardines on toast every day for meals, because they went a long way and were fairly 'healthy' foods, potato and cabbage soup at weekends, and walked everywhere - in the snow, ice or rain as I no money for bus fares!! It was hard with two little ones to look after.
My OH is the opposite, and at first I thought he was mean, which I hate, but although he is careful with money on the smaller things, he is good on the bigger gestures, and as well as it being a relief that we aren't scratching around for every penny, he is nice, too! We both now work part-time and enjoy our time together. I live the MSE way though, and re-cycle, use up left overs, and am the first to say 'if you're cold put on/turn up the heating BUT put a warm jumper on first!'. (Hush, just don't ask how much I spend on the cats!!!)
I feel much better today, and thank you again for your warm thoughts. Helen, I'm glad you've written you are feeling better in yourself today.
Sat now with my cuppa and it's a quick meal of veggie sausage, left over potatoes and cauli to fry in a little oil, with a big helping of mushrooms and an egg. I love this, it's quick and warming and like a fry-up breakfast!
Bye for now and good wishes all round from me. R x0 -
Back again! I meant to say 'happy birthday' to Mr Ionafan. I do hope you have a great time tonight. I love farces, and, like you say, it's just like being at home sometimes!!
It's my birthday next week, so hi to your OH from a fellow Aquarian!
Just washed the cats dishes, so that's the last chore before tea!!

Dailies done and Wednesdays list finished. Went for lunch and shopping with DD. not keen on this wind. Hopefully it will ease off soon.
Hugs spoons and sticks wher needed.0 -

List is up, I'm off to see if I can get the ironing finished before my friend arrives for a catch up.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

What is this? I am intrigued, I hate folding clothes
It is a plastic grid with hinged flaps on, you lay your clothes on as instructed, flip left, flop right, flip up - and Voila! nice neat parcels of clothes to stack neatly in drawers.
I am not sure if moderators will let me post a direct link - but if you search eb@y for laundry folder there are currently over 100 entries - various colours, and a kids version as well.
I have a blue one for me, and a yellow one for DS (it is his favourite colour;)) DS and I spent 15 minutes last night flip-flopping all his clothes drop and now it looks beautiful (even though I thought I had them folded nicely, it looks ten times better now:D)
So now I have my methods in place, Anthea Turner style folded towels in my airing cupboards, Anthea style towels folded and stack on bathroom worksurface topped with a seashell, and now Sheldon Cooper style t shirt and shirt drawers, with DS on board I will get Skint Pitz back to Skint Ritz I want it to be again in next to no timeThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Ooh new list, I've already done some of these:
Friday - Master bedroom and Landing
Level One
[STRIKE]Strip, wash and remake bed
Clear landing[/STRIKE]
Level Two
[STRIKE]Clear bedroom floor
Hoover floors[/STRIKE]
Level Three
[STRIKE]Turn and hoover mattress
Dust the bedframe
Dust any pictures[/STRIKE]
Extras
HH me time
Clean windows and sills
Sort that box of stuff - you know the one! I'm sure we all have one somewhere, whose will contain the most obscure of useless item?
Hurrah! I did my mattress and turned it earlier this week. Might have a sort in DD cupboard and maybe a trip to b&q if weather ok.
Bed now head hurts xBossymoo

Hello flyladies and flygents
Firstly, I would like to apologise for my absence, it has been manic here. Secondly, thank you to everyone for your kind words and posi-vibes for Holly:T:T:T
Holly's op went very well, it was not much more than a cut, thankfully not too much blood and she fed beautifully afterwards, so was ticked off as a great success:j
It's funny now, the whole way the lower half of her mouth looks different now, just because she can move her tongue her mouth can open wider. So now it is more comfortable for me to feed her, she is much quicker and guzzling and doesn't get so tired from feeding. I was told it was hereditary, I had to have my top lip snipped as a teenager as it was connected too low and caused problems for teenage braces, which I got from my Dad. My cousin (on Dad's side) had a full cleft palate. I was told that Holly may be at risk of clicky jaws(which I haven't seen or heard evidence of so far) so the Jaw Surgery I am due to have done this year may also be in Holly's future, so forewarned is fore-armed
So both of us have actually had some serious amounts of catch up sleep since last night, so I haven't picked up my mobile or Fred til just now.
Holly is a lot more pinky looking today, midwife came in to do last of midwife visits as it is day 10 today, and Holly has put on another 70 g in 2 days, when last time it was 70g in 3 days.
HV comes back on Tuesday to get her weighed again, so that will be the real test.
So apart from having a long 3 hour nap this afternoon, flying has been limited to hoovering LR and Hallway, feeding the WM & TD x 4 a quick S&S round kitchen and wiping the odd kitchen door for marks. Folding clothes can wait til tomorrow:rotfl:
DD3 and the EX have dragged out all the rubbish ready for tomorrow.
Off to register the birth tomorrow, and then I think the EX is going back home....his current "interest" has had the wing mirror knocked off her car, and it needs attention. So I might have to get myself a train pass for next week and crack out the baby sling, otherwise I won't be able to get DS to nursery (no direct bus route, and I need to change platforms over a footbridge at the next station, so I can't use a pushchair) I was hoping to get to 3 weeks and make an attempt at driving before going down that route, but it looks like I have no choice on that one
nevermind, onwards and upwards!
Hugs, sticks and spoons for all in need, back in the jar....dig in and help yourselvesThe cold never bothered me anyway0
