Blue 'Zone' Bar on Shopping Boards

I like the new zone bar on grab it and other shopping boards good feature i think. easy way to use the shopbots etc....

The one downside to it is when you click on one of the shopbots or articles it doesnt open another window takes you away from MSE could that be changed?

We've got them on almost all the baords. Hope you like them. And good idea about 'open new window', its being changes as we speak :)

The idea is again to bring the Chat and main site closer together. Hopefully it should stop a lot of newbies repeatedly asking the same questions e.g. what cards can do a super balance transfer.

However its more fundamental than that - the sites future is dependent on people using the main site as well as chat. Otherwise i simply can't afford it to keep running. The first step was the new zones - which means that Chat is included on the main site much more with the big links at the bottom - and this is the second step :)

nah i fixed it. now all links within the top zone/help headers will open in a new window.

p.s. you dont need to right-click and open in a new window, just hold the shift key on your keyboard as you click on any link with the mouse and it does the same :)

    Is it just me?

I'm finding the blue bar very 'jarring'...it hits me like a punch on the nose

I think it's just the shade of blue...all the other colours are quite soft but that is quite harsh.

(Praps I need to adjust me monitor settings  )

Its deliberately JUMP DOWN YOUR THROAT HARSH. We needed it to make it so you couldn't miss it. However like all changes, give it a week or two and you'll stop noticing (i remember when we introduced the menu bar on the left in the forum..... (runs away and hides in case that argument starts up again!))
