I always buy decent coffee ,its an essential item to me ,my fave is carte noir but that makes my head ache when drunk in large quantities,(which I do),so I tend to stick with nescafe ,the half/caffiene nescafe is buy one get one free at morrisons at the moment ,making them £1.12 each ,which is great ,Ive got round about 10 jars of it in my overspill cupboard.0

Try putting a same size jar of cheapy coffee in the canister with hubbys more expensive nescafe. The cheap one absorbs favour from the expensive one and you end up with double the amount of nescafe!! My OH honestly can't taste any difference!

I don't use instant coffee and see coffee as a luxury item so I always buy Fair Trade, usually Cafe Direct from Oxfam or a similar outlet (such as the Fair Trade shop, Co Op etc), and when my parents and friends come back from their holidays they usually visit coffee plantations and bring me back stuff from there

Coffee is one item that I can not compromise over, I have never discovered a cheap coffee that has ever matched i.e Gold Blend etc for taste and quality. We have tried own brands premium, but I don't think they are very nice. What do other people think, or am I a coffee snob.0
-
Well, I must be even more of a coffee snob because I wouldn't buy instant coffee
I do buy an own brand ground coffee though and find it very good;)

Gold Blend doesn't come close to the taste of real coffee, so you are not a coffee snob just a brand label snob. Wake up and smell the real coffee! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

i dont drink coffee cant even stomach the smell but DH does now and again i have golden blend in the cubbord for him or odd visitors would never buy the cheaper stuff as i would hate to give a coffee drink some crappy tasting drink and we have the good stuff ready groud up as i dont have a grinder, in the freezer ready to go in the machine, but hubby only gets that out when we have a few guests round.Still TryingGrocery challenge July 2016

If the taste of your coffee is important to you then go for the one you like. I know exactly what you mean.............anything other than Ne--afe just won't do!:D
If that makes me a coffee or label snob then so be it! I can live with that!:rotfl:0
