I've not tried freezing fresh pineapple, but I've frozen tinned pineapple to reuse in stir fries, sweet and sour etc, and it's always been ok.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I often freeze tinned pineapple into small bags and then use to top pizza, usually ok a bit watery but you'd never know once its cooked.:jVisa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

It'll be fine. It will be a bit watery when defrosted but still edible as fruit. I've got a fair bit stuck in my freezer from my last OS adventure.0

I've frozen it then put it in smoothies from frozen to make a lovely cold drink. Not great this weather though
but tastes good

Thanks everyone. There's about a third of it left, so will cube it and put in freezer

Just don't make a jelly out if itWe must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0

i bought a cheap pineapple the other day which i haven't got around to doing anything with yet and i really need to do something with it today.
my problem is....somewhere in the depths of my mind i vaguely remember there is some sort of problem about what you can and can't do with them.
is it that you can't freeze them, or is it that if you put them in jelly,it won't set. (or am i confusing pineapples with vodka!!!):rotfl:
i was just gonna chop and freeze it or bung it in a trifle but i thought i'd ask all you wise people first!
or if any of you have a better (less boring) suggestion, i'd be v grateful to hear it!
thank you all in advance!0 -

I don't know about freezing it. Putting it in a jelly will keep the gelatine from setting though. Something about the enzymes in fresh versus canned. How about a pineapple upside down cake?Take the first step.

Chop it up and eat with natural yog! The sweet but tart flavor of the pineapple and the creaminess of the yoghurt....... hmmmmm
