ahh now the label refers to the unprepared pineapple you see - so I would store airtight in the fridge now its prepared -definatelyI THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0

It will ferment quite quickly if you leave it out I think!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Once sliced and diced, I keep pineapple in the fridge. It's so yummy chilled. :drool:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0

you can chop it and freeze it. It is LOVELY eaten frozen if you have a sore throat or on a hot day. Same goes for mango and melon :-)I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

Does anyone have any interesting uses for fresh pineapple?
I've been told to eat the middle husk bit to help baby arrive  But it means i'll have lots of the nice fleshy fruit bit!!
Never prepared it before either so any ideas on that would help too...0 -
Hi johanne,
There are lots of ideas on this older thread that should help. Good luck with the baby.

Hi i have a pineapple and i want to make a pudding with it today any surgestions please?would like to also have custard with it,0
-
I haven't really got a 'with custard' pudding suggestion but...
1. Simplest of all - cut pineapple into pieces and put in a bowl. Sprinkle with Kirsch or Rum. Leave for an hour or so and serve
2. Grilled/fried pineapple. Dust with a little icing sugar and put on a griddle pan or in a fry pan until golden.
3. Pineapple & lemon meringue pudding. Make up a packet lemon meringue pie mixture (or google for a recipe to make your own if you have eggs/lemon handy) and pour over sliced pineapple. Top with meringue and put in the oven till brown.
4. Pineapple upside down cake (would work with custard I suppose)?0 -
Pineapple upside down cake would get my vote too - very tasty with custard0

I'd cook with tinned pineapple, it seems a waste to cook with a fresh one.0
