Hello all again. It's been a fair few months since I posted on here. Last year with all your help I managed to complete the Drylathon. This year I won't be completing it as have had a few drinks tonight as it was DS's 16th birthday, plus also I didn't want to say that I wasn't drinking, just wanting to get it under control really.

So my AF count for last year was:

    Jan 31 days AF:j
    Feb 0 days AF :(
    Mar 1 day AF :(
    Apr 1 day AF :(
    May 3 days AF :o
    Jun 3 days AF :o
    Jul 3 days AF :o
    Aug 2 days AF :(
    Sep 2 days AF :(
    Oct 0 days AF :(
    Nov 1 day AF :(
    Dec 3 days AF :o

So for January I would like to try for 10 days please Shaggy. It could possibly be more. I would like to get back to where I was I few years ago...only drinking on
a Tues, Fri & Sun. I have beer in the fridge at home, but will only drink it if I've already been out. I do not drink at home, even if DH is, if I haven't already been out.

Could you put me down for 2/10 already please Shaggy.

3/31 for me now, please Shaggy - so far, to be honest, I've not been tempted - with the weather rotten like this, I've just wanted endless cups of tea - I'm really hoping this helps me break the habit of opening a bottle of wine or two over the weekend just "because".
Good luck for tomorrow everyone. Judi, you can do this:)

    3/31 tonight
  • :hello: to everyone and happy new shiny year! Ok maybe a bit grey and dull too.
I would like to go for a target of 14 again please Shaggy.

No new AFDs to report - no OTT embarrassing drinking tales or hangovers either. I've been drinking enough to make me feel jaded and forget what I watched on TV though...

I am very impressed with all the content on here over the last few pages - so glad I came back here and am 'with' you all again over the interwebs.

My first planned AFD is Monday but I'm thinking about trying for a sneaky Saturday today too. I will go back to bed and sleep now. I have a cough which isn't helping my sleep any.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
Yesterday was the last full day of my hols - we're off home today and I'm on the AF wagon for the month. I haven't drunk a lot over the past few days but they haven't been AF.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Close shave last night, went to the chippy for a late tea. I only called next door for half a bottle of brandy! Got home and felt guilty and didn't touch it. It's going down the sink this morning.

New Start, can't you take the brandy back for an MSE refund?
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

  go back to the shop first thing see if they'll take it back or exchange it??! If not, drop it in a bin on the way home. Expensive stuff that!

(Sorry, it's the MSE in me!)
