I cant believe it - am I chuffed or what??!!
Well done 5 year :T - I bet you are chuffed and deservedly so
5/10 AFD's for me please Shaggy.
Alex - well done at stopping at just the one :T. Don't know about you but sometimes I think that once I have had one drink that I may as well continue as I am disappointed in myself for having missed the chance of having an AFDand then other times I feel proud of myself for having the control to stop after one drink - weird or what
Have a great day everyone0 -
Good morning folks
Yep Im am so chuffed, but can feel the antsy wine o'clock feeling hitting me today and that wanting to get the day over so I can chill with a glass of wine
But on the positive side my concentration in work is so so much better - Im trying to stay focussed on that and on how good I feel, no fuzzy head or the massive munchies :j
Im out with my brother and sister tonight for a meal in town but I am driving so it will be apple juice and a soda water for me definitely
I just have to refrain from calling into the supermarket to pick up that bottle of wine so i can have a glass before bedtime  bad habit or what??!!
I will make it 7/9; I will make it 7/9; I will make it 7/9 :rotfl:**Stay Excellent, Stay AF**This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon :santa2:
1 more AFD.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Good luck with 7/9 5 year plan! Great to see you doing so well.
Jess the cat - you're doing great too, to get AF days under your belt. Sometimes it is hard, but just keep going!
Alex - Loved the quote about nothing sadder than sitting in drinking on your own! Oh the sad years I have frittered away!
I think everyone is doing so well, by being here and making the effort. I have been on other forums and it's all been about being totally sober or not bothering at all. This can just be so discouraging when you're starting out as it's too high a mountain to climb. But making progress helps you decide what it is you must do for your own well being, which may be total sobriety or moderation.
For me D day (or Drink day as I know it) will be Dec Fri 13th (bad choice :rotfl:). We are off to the Lake District for the weekend and I have allowed two drinking nights. Will see if I turn into the Tasmanian devil or do like you can Sukey and just stop at one, that would be soooooo good.0 -

3/12 please Shaggy. Wow that was hard today for some reason - probably because DSS is driving me mad - could really have downed a drink or 8!!
However, persevered with tea and then apple and soda and then herbal tea!! Aarrghh!! He's still driving me mad though!Sick and tired of waking up sick and tired...

7/15 AFDs, and it's looking do-able to reach targetWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

7/14 AFD for December please Shaggy. Agree with Satchmo, target is looking achievable but stretching given xmas week.
I have been surprised that I'm not sleeping through with all the AFDs. I wake up and then my head starts thinking. I hope to sleep till the alarm tonight. OH has had a cold and I feel like I'm fighting one off too. Maybe that's adding to my tiredness.
I'm still feeling a bit antsy not having wine in the evening but it gets a lot easier after I've eaten dinner.
Sleep well everyone.0
