HALT stands for Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired and is a way of addressing what is making you want to drink. There is a link below that goes into detail.

Hello everyone! Hope you are keeping well?
I haven't been on the forum as much as I would of liked over the last couple of weeks but fully intend for that to change!
Still my last post I have been busy looking after the kids and talking about weddings with Skint Mum
Luckily I haven't turned to the bottle just yet so I can happily say its 15/30 AFDs for me so far!
I have a family party coming up next weekend and I know lots of alchohol will be on offer. I am going to use all my will power to resist although if I have to look at another bridesmaid dress!!!(only joking) I am sure it will be ok.Professional Blogger | Money Saver | Money Maker0 -
Oh My! Confession time - I drank a bottle and a good half of wine last night and I feel dreadful today (not surprisingly). We were just watching TV and then I had a bit of a chat with a friend on the phone and just kept topping up my glass - Ugh.
So, it's a AF week ahead to dry out I think!Trying to keep in budget.

Thank you..im not sure any of those apply to why i have a drink..angry more stressed than angry . But great idea love the idea of taking a minute to think do i need /want this really?
Last night no drink..was lovely to wake up refreshed, and happy , after nearly 2 weeks af (apart from friday) my skin is starting to glow..and have gone from cronic ibs to none at all (sorry..but its plagued my every day and have been on medication for years) ..after that why whould i want to go back to drinking..since being "almost" teetotal, i have nothing but postive things to say about it..feel like ive been through the wash and come out the over side all cleaned and organised ..so whilst halt might not apply to me i wil definatly be using it , thanks!
1 more af for last night shaggy please and thanksCompers challenge 27/70
