1 more AF day for me please Shaggy. Total = 7/17

Aiming for an AF weekend. I am working tomorrow so def AF tonight and am out with friends on Sunday and I don't want to feel rubbish. I actually find Saturdays very easy to be AF. From memory, most saturdays have been AF since I began cutting down :j

I am hoping that it will be as easy as normal as I am struggling to manage 2+ days in a row :o Does anyone else have that problem?

I'm very proud of you too!:j

    Thank you. :)

I am beginning to acknowledge if I don't cut down now, I may get to a point where I will have to give up drinking altogether. However, through cutting down, I hope I can continue to enjoy a drink or two and try not to get myself hopelessly drunk often.

Anyhow, tonight has also been alcohol free, giving me 9/18. Pleased to say I'm half way there. :D

    Morning All,

Had a lovely day off yesterday. Personal trainer in morning followed by an afternoon pottering in the kitchen cooking. As you all know kitchen times normally means a glass of wine at the same time, and it will again, but for yesterday and for now; I am practising abstaining. Also discovered Joan Rivers is touring UK next October so booked tickets for that too!

12 AF for me now! Still not even half way there for my goal of 25 AF but it doesn't seem impossible either! Have a good day everyone and those of you who are struggling - you can do it!

Ha Ha I have been here for over 4 years now....quite a few posters were here when I arrived Maman, Gien and Pricey etc..:D

4 YEARS!! My word, that's flown, and I was posting under different user names before then even so goodness knows how long I've been here!
Actually, keeping posting on the thread does help very much in remaining aware of my alcohol consumption (remember Recovering Alcoholic- constant vigilance!). I rarely reach my target, mainly because i just loose track, but I am happy with my consumption now and I am not when I don't post, because I am not mindful of it.

That said I have had a couple of AF nights this week and I intend to be so tonight as I want a clear head tomorrow.
    Have a good day

Sadly and annoyed with myself, i arranged to meet hubby at the pub after we watched the lights being turned on..so you can maybe guess what happend i had a 175ml wine , then decided ooh well had one now may as well get hubby to get a bottle..we shared that but 2/3 done the second glass i felt id had 2 much (go me my intollernece has dropped a lot too already?) and tipped it away. I drank a pint of water ..but still woke up with a mild hangover , feeling sick ..i should have arranged to meet him elsewhere..or just walked home! No tempation then..or i could have had an alchol free drink.
Whats this halt thing? Many thanks hope your having a good weekend so far, loads of love x
