Yep lots of familiar faces. There are many I wonder if they ever ever kicked the habit (I think we can all remember some who desperately NEEDED to) Their absense probably means they didn't :(

I often think that too 365, who knows maybe they'll be back one day.

I think I joined the thread January 2009. It has been one of my more successful attempts at New Year Resolutions.;)

Pleased to report I've managed all four school nights this week. I'm delighted when I manage that.:D

    7 AFDs please Shaggy.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • 10 please, Shaggy, ta Remembered HALT last night, as I started to think that just one glass of pinot would be a nice idea - so pleased I did!!

I too still think about some of the people who used to post a great deal here - hopefully, they are all just too busy and happy to have time to post nowadays?

Have a good Friday everybody. I'm working on deadlines (nothing changes here).

Just heard on the radio how good it is for you to walk every day - I cycle a lot, but must start walking more - so all of you who are having your daily walks are really benefiting. Those dusk walks sound like a good idea ....

    Hi Shaggydoo,

Thanks for your concern. I've slipped dreadfully on the AFD challenge, not in a going on a bender way but one or two glasses of wine with dinner each evening. So long as that doesn't get out of hand.:o

Mum's much better, I'm sad that she's gone home now but her 2 week stay was a great success.

Brother isn't able to eat normally, which will be the case for a few months, he has to be fed through a tube. He has had some alarming side effects from the painkillers. Alarming for him, but apparently pretty standard. This is the time when he and his wife need lots of support, as the treatment has finished but the recovery is difficult to cope with.

Work has settled down, I've had great support, the whole team are working well together. I'm not looking forward to my performance review, but I've got lots of affirmations from peers and it's unlikely that I'll get a bad review. There's a pay-freeze anyway, so it's largely a paper exercise.

    Satchmo

Well, no AF to report for me but I did only have 2 x 175ml glasses of wine last night and I did enjoy them - I even felt a little bit 'tipsy' - my tolerance level has dropped remarkably since I started cutting down ;).

Well done to all those that managed to stay AF :T

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Didn't know what HALT was so looked it up and it seems very useful. Last night I was H for hungry and T for tired so I had a banana and went to bed! :)
