Well last night was an alcohol night. Put away two bottles of Champers with the bf but sadly then we went on to have a bottle of wine too! Woke up with a muzzy head this morning but my whole goal was that I didn't get to the 12 step stage so reduced now!
Back on track tonight so calling 13/25 AF for tonight!
Have a good week all!

Hi everyone
Well after a big struggle to get beyond one day AF over the past few weeks I am really pleased to report 2 now (not setting a target as I just need to go one day at time for now)
I have a lot of things in my life to be getting on with when sober such as sadly neglected home which has taken me all day to start to sort, a complete lack of social life thanks to wanting to hide on my couch with a few bottles, and most importantly my health which has deteriorated significantly thanks to the booze.
Today I have felt relatively energised which is so unusual for me. I had my first AF for a long time on Thursday which went well then I cracked on Friday night and had some wine which continued on Saturday after a lovely lunch out where a glass of wine was completely appropriate but then continued on at night to finish Fridays leftovers
I am certainly planning to be AF tomorrow as I will be working late and now have no stocks to "finish" The plan is not to buy any wine until the weekend but thats a bit too far forward thinking for me now so I will say today was a success and tomorrow is another day.
H.A.L.T has made me think and can certainly relate to hungry and lonely. I have many a times substituted food for more wine so my body is a wreck. Anyway hopefully this is now back on track and I can keep my reasons clear in my head. I will also post more here then I can keep a track and enjoy everyones support0 -
Today has most certainly not been an AFD for me (son's birthday party and thanks to my father the drinks were flowing). :rotfl: However, I've not managed to get myself totally piddled.2018 totals:

Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -

Like yourself, I found it really hard to begin with. For me that was the habit part as I drank every night and didn't really know what to do instead! I think once I got past 4 or 5 days I had started to feel like it was OK not to drink.
But you have done really well to get there, it is a big step.
Of course the next dilemma for me was what to do instead. I thought I would 'waste' the time (as if sitting there drinking all night didn't :rotfl:)! Then I decided it didn't really matter what I did with the time, any alternative was better.
Good luck and keep posting!0 -
