Did not manage to stay AF today, as expected. However, I really did enjoy it instead of drinking for the sake of it as I used to.

So went out in London with some friends the other night and had booze - lots of it. This then resulted in 2 further nights drinking and a muzzy <red wine> head this morning for work. :(

Anyway, back on track tonight so calling in 1 AF for me!

Good Weekend All! Stay Sober and if you are having a treat night then enjoy it!

Epic fail for me tonight. Had planned to be AF but the devil on my shoulder was louder than the angel :(

Days like this make me realise that I DO have a problem :(

Tomorrow will definitely be AF. I really need to knock this nasty addiction on the head :(:(:(

Don't know if this has been mentioned lately but a useful thing to think about when you want a drink is HALT.

    Am I Hungry
    Am I Angry
    Am I Lonely
    Am I Tired

The trouble with alcohol is that can become our 'fix all' when indeed for many it fixes nothing.

Tomorrow is a new day Fruball....

Pink Floyd are in concert on BBC4 if anyone's interested!

Waves to 365 - thanks for the reminder of HALT - I use it a lot everyday still.

Always seems to help me and I'm so grateful that someone took the time to share it with us all. Thanks again for the reminder.

Funniest thing was when I stopped drinking quite so ferociously and everyday - I stopped being so lonely, and so angry at myself, and probably not so tired inside.

(For the record I'm always hungry (!) but if the bells are a clanging I often go get something to eat before I allow myself to buy any wine (if I still want it) )

But the HALT thing really helps me - I stop and think about it and go have a wee bit time out on days when I'm not planning on having any wine. On days I am having wine, I limit my purchases to help not go crackers.

We had a houseparty for the wellyfest and there was copious amounts of wine/etc in the house. I was quite pleased I stuck to my inner self allotted limits, if I'm honest I was worried about being in a house full of booze and chums I'd be rubbish, but I drank moderately. Now I'm home its a booze free house again.

Fruball - tomorrows a shiny new day - what's done is done, don't beat yourself up, be nice to yourself.

Its not easy, so I try and look on the bright side, new day, new choices. Please be nice to yourself

    xx

    Morning everybody :)

I have hit my October Target of 15/15 Yayyy!

Shaggy, I had said I would take 15 as a target for November but I think I ought to try to bump that up a bit so can you put me down for November Target 17 please?

    Many thanks

I just wanted to remind you that you made your target last month - that's pretty good going.

Thanks all. Words of encouragement are definitely helpful and yes, I did make target last month.

I hate this 'issue' and I want to knock it on the head and be permanently AF... I love my AF days so I don't understand why I drink wine... :(

Looking forward to tomorrow and a totally AF day xx
