Did not manage to stay AF today, as expected. However, I really did enjoy it instead of drinking for the sake of it as I used to.2018 totals:

Wowsers, I go AWOL for a few weeks and the board goes mad!!
Welcome to all the newbies - it's taken me a couple of hours to catch up
I think I achieved 8AF for Oct please Shaggy
Been having a hard time, off work with stress, so even thou I know drinking doesn't help - it sort of did at the time!
I'm on my 4th AF day on the trot now, a miracle in recent weeks it has to be said......
Can I have a target of 10 for Nov please
Satchmo - I hope you are getting the help you need
Anyone heard anything from 41???

What would you recommend in terms of a November target? I've failed miserably on this month's target of 25, and narrowly missed the same target for September. So, should I capitulate and plump for a target of 20, or be aspirational and opt for 25?What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Hi all
21/21 AFDs:D. My Mum just poured out the biggest glass of wine and offered me one. I really fancied it but I wanted my witch.:)0 -

We went out for dinner (planned wine) and I had TWO glasses of wine. Completely unheard of moderation on my part!!!
Had a great time and I am back home having a herbal tea! Last month I would have cracked open a bottle as soon as I got in.... thank you all for the amazing support on this thread!
Good night all....Sick and tired of waking up sick and tired...

Well I didn't drink yesterday so that's my very modest target for October 2/2 achieved. I have been drinking today (a lot
); I think it's because I'm so worried about failing my November total. It's another modest target, 10, but it will be hard; especially with DH sitting there with a bottle always within reach.
Wish me luck.0 -

Well done on 2 days sober. It is probably 2 more days than you would of had if you hadn't been here. Remind yourself of all the reasons you want to go for 10 days in November.
If you don't hit 10 days it doesn't matter. What matters is that you are highlighting your drinking and doing something about it. It takes time.
