Hi all
I am happy to report with another AF day bringing my total to 12/15 :j
I am definitely going to reach my target this month, maybe even go over it! Whatever I manage this month, I will add a day next month bringing my target higher and eventually only drink on occasions
Have a good evening everyone0 -
Thursday has always been a bad night for me - I consider it practically the weekend so usually stop in Morrisons and buy a bottle of wine on the way home! NOT TONIGHT. That little pumpkin sticker will be mine!!! :rotfl:

Evening all,
This shall be my last post for 3 nights! 21 AF days so far! Tomorrow OH and I are heading off up north to stay with friends for the weekend! This will involve alcohol although I am slightly feeling sad that I won't continue my AF progress! I need to remind myself that I don't have to be the last one left up drinking which has always been the trouble with me. No STOP button!
Please God don't let me drink too much, be rude to anyone whilst thinking i'm funny, puke or cast up aspersions with Other Half! Or wet the bed! All things I have done within the last 2 years whilst drinking!
Thanks for listening! Have a good weekend all!

Could I please ask you all a question.
Do any of you have parents that drink ?
My mother is an alcoholic, as is her sister. I don't drink that often but when I do I don't stop. This evening I have drunk a litre of Baileys. I have only stopped because I have finished the bottle. I come from a long line of drinkers. I wouldn't say my grandparents had a drink problem buy they could put it away, as could their parents.
So what I really want to know is, does it run in families ?
Do you drink because you enjoy it or because it is there ?
I'm sorry if this upsets anyone.0 -
Declaring 15 AFD please Shaggy - thanks for keeping us on track.Trying to keep in budget.

There are no alcoholics in my family but my mother and father have always had a little more than a "social drink", similar to me, I suppose.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -

Don't worry, not upset at all.
I'm like Alex, both my parents (especially father) liked a social drink. They also had a lifestyle that included drinking (lots of socialising with work and play). I don't think you're born to alcoholism but we develop habits and accept things as norms within families plus the way society presents drinking as a fun thing to do. So short answer, I thinks its nurture rather than nature.
Back on the wagon tonight.:)
Good to see so many have joined me.:A
11 AFDs please Shaggy.
I'm determined to get my 14 day sticker this month.0
