Well done scotsdebs, the first is the hardest!:T
7 AFDs please and 2 for the SNC.
Thanks for good wishes, had a lovely day for our anniversary, surprisingly easy to jump back on tonight.:)
That is so true! The first is definitely the hardest. Glad it isn't just me that thinks that!Ohwhatamess wrote: »I knew this would be hard, but didn't realise quite how much. Seeing it written down, I'm halfway through the month and have only managed 4 days without a drink looks terrible in black and white. However it's still better than the zero I did for years. I don't know who I was kidding the other night, once upon a time I'd force myself to have a drink no matter how ill I was, sad that eh?
I agree, seeing it written down does look bad BUT we are all doing something about it which is a huge step in the right direction!
:T:T:T Big round of applause to us all0 -

Hello everybody,
Hope your summer is going well and everybody is where they want to be!
Not read back yet, probably will only be able to skim a few pages but that's not cos I don't want too.
I've been so busy these last few months setting up my business, kids off school and just trying to enjoy time with them.
I'm doing well AF wise, mostly 2-3 units once a week, but occasionally some weeks that is 2 times. Completely in control these days, its going well. Trying to think back and i reckon since November I have stayed "cut down" and no ED's since October. I'm getting closer to that 1 year mark.
Most weeks i complete the SNC without even thinking about it, so chuffed with that too.
Right must go and read back a few pages.
Take care everybody!!Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -
12/25 AFDs heading home tomorrow for the weekend, yay! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

4/12 for me please Shaggy
2/3 for me please Gien, I think!
I am happy with how my first week has gone. Considering an AF day was almost unheard of for me for the last two years (bad times but much better now) I don't think I have done too badly.
The first was definitely the worst but tonight, my fourth, has been easy and I haven't had the urge to go to the local shop for wine!
Doing two in a row is harder than a single night off (but I have also done that now) so tomorrow will be a bigger test. I doubt I will make my target of 12 this month as I am off on holiday soon, but the fact I have started the Big Cut Down is a good thing indeedI hope I will smash the target in Sept

Lovely, positive posts on here tonight.
:wave:good to see you cuppa, sounds like you're doing brilliantly.
have a good weekend satchmo.
I'm off to Wales to stay with family for the weekend. I'll be drinking but moderately.:)
Strangely enough I was feeling very stressed earlier (nothing awful, just too much to do) and for the first time I knew that drinking wouldn't help.
