What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

7/15 AFD's for me so far - not sure about tonight - supposed to be having a homemade chicken madras and I find that it doesn't taste the same without a bottle of Cobra to go with it  - we shall see how it goes :)

    Have a good day all
  • I knew this would be hard, but didn't realise quite how much. Seeing it written down, I'm halfway through the month and have only managed 4 days without a drink looks terrible in black and white. However it's still better than the zero I did for years. I don't know who I was kidding the other night, once upon a time I'd force myself to have a drink no matter how ill I was, sad that eh?

Ohwhatamess as you say it's 4 more than if you had just carried on as before. As you said yourself this is a habit that you have built up over years, so it will take a bit more than a couple of weeks to break the old habits and start some new healthier ones:o

Find out your trigger times and avoid them for me it's between 6pm and 8pm dinner/preparing dinner and getting past 9pm after that I seem to lose the notion for a drink.

Last night as soon as oh came in just after 6 I said there is pizza in the freezer and headed off to meet some friends for a walk - we walked 5 miles I came home had a very light meal and by this time was almost 9pm and thought well no point having one now :D

    You are doing great :j
