    Evening all
No AFD for me so far in August but today I have had a better day. I finished off a bottle that I opened last night but didn't go out for any more.
I desperately need some diesel for the car but knew I would pick up a bottle at the petrol station so I'll have to get some on the way to work.
Have a good week everyone, I have a very busy week ahead as I'm on 2 weeks leave from Friday - loads of work leading up to leave then come back to loads of work to catch up
I sometimes wonder if I would be better off not taking any leave!

    Hi Joanne
I am very much like you with the work situation. But I know that I definitely function better if I stay clear of alcohol. It's easier said than done I know.
I had to replace my car, I got a tesco interest free cc with 18 months interest free period

£5600 with 18 months to pay it.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Just wanted to say to Shaggy. Every day I enjoy the lovely smiley messages which mask your own AFDs just sneaked in at the top. I hope the thread helps you as much as it does us.

Thank you. This thread so keeps me on the straight and narrow :-D

Well, I can't seem to post any smileys or links at all, so I haven't been able to update the monthly challenge. I have made a note of the changs - hopefully it's just a blip. I will pop in soon and hopefully it will have sorted itself out.

    Hi all

Arrived back from my hols in Majorca with my fella yesterday -had a fantastic child free week away, I didn't want to come home!!
I have 1AF for Aug, but did drink whilst I was away
I'm aiming to stay off it this week - but I know boredom will get to me :(
My fella went away last night on a fishing trip for the week, and the kids are away with their Dad till Sunday
I was sooo bored last night, I'm planning on working late etc to keep me away from the house, might suggest bingo one night and drive

Hope you are all ok, where has 41 gone?

    Tracy xx

    Hi everyone,

No AFD’s for me this weekend (I wasn’t planning or expecting to have any so no problem) but I did manage to cut down slightly – only 1 x 500ml bottle of cider on a Saturday night is unheard of for me :rotfl:.

Should be AF right up until Thursday/Friday now (hopefully)

    Have a good day all
