    JUNE 2013

    SET YOUR Target_logo.jpg

    Everyone Welcome.
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
  • Checking in early tonight:

    4/25 AFD please Shaggy
    2/4 SNC please Gien

Before signing up to these challenges I set myself a personal goal of 14 consecutive days without alcohol - today I made it!! I could if I wanted to have a glass of wine this weekend but right now I am not bothered whether I do or don't. That is a very new experience to me.
    Journey began May 2013
    Debt paid= £235/£30512
    Buffer = £0/£150
    Weight loss = 10lbs/23lbs
    July AFDs = 2/23

This is me declaring an early night as Im off to yoga soon, so am now on 3/22 AF days.
The rising price of alcohol and the dwindling pay packet is certainly helping to focus me on the no drinking nights. I have decided that this weekend I am only allowed to buy 1 bottle of beer so I won't go over board or spend a fortune.
Im feeling fed up that my ebay items didn't sell and one of them is a beautiful red dress bought for my daughter's prom and has only been worn once. It cost quite alot from a debenhams designer collection and I can't believe no one wants it for the bargain price of £20! She's only worn it twice! I think I'll keep it and try again in the run up to Christmas. Still got plenty of things left in the garage to try after a clear out at the weekend.
Well good luck to all on the SNC (and anyone not on it too!)
    Kind regards
    Slowdown:)

    On the SNC.
I was going for it and went back to work yesterday.
A grateful client bought me a rather nice bottle of Bordeaux. I couldn't resist and had it last night.
To be honest, it didn't taste very nice - not as nice as I remember. I still drank it all though, out of habit!

I am still on target for 29 this month but have failed the SNC.

I spoke to the friend who is coming down on 21st and she is apparently on a booze free weekend stopping over on the way to celebrate the birthday of another friend who is a recovering alcoholic by having a special teas party.
Therefore she won't mind too much if we omit alcohol for her visit.

Off the booze today, I'm not going out so no chance of picking any up from the shops

4 AF days and 65 days in a row.

However disappointed that my weight loss has completely stopped in the past few weeks despite regularly walking up to 50 miles/week and cutting down to 2000 calories per day. I've been very unmotivated in recent weeks because of this.

    Thank you

I actually have little problem abstaining over the weekend, it's after work that I find it difficult, I feel I need a "reward" for enduring another day at the coalface. The work isn't too bad but it's the people I work with who can get me down and have me reaching for the bottle
