  • Hi everyone. I am also someone who would love to be with people but they don't want to be with me. Because of this I am finding out things about myself and learning to accept myself. I can't talk at the moment so I don't want to be around people because I end up whispering and prolonging my laryngitis. I am slowly becoming more happy with myself, I will never fit in and if I learn to love me then others will want to be my friend, if not then I will just keep my few friends I do have close.

13 AFDs for me please Shaggy :)

Well, the nice new car (well used, but only a few years old) has been reversed into by a work colleague who wasn't looking as he reversed into a space on our work's car park. He has reversed into two other cars in so many months! It's caused £300 damage

He is paying for it cash as he knows it was his fault, but it means it won't be going through his insurance which means we won't get a courtesy car, which means we will be without a car for a week! We were so annoyed, the one time we invest a bit of money in a decent car and some idiot whacks it!

Car won't be going in until the end of June, so we'd better coordinate getting the bus lol.

Also, in my new job someone (who already works within the service) has taken exception to us new people as he thinks he aren't qualified enough to do the jobs we've been recruited to do. How nice when someone is so negative when he knows nothing about what we do (I'm a counsellor) :(

Hope people are ok, not had time to read the replies as been busy with new job and uni xx

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Saw GP at 9.40 am. Not allowed to talk, whisper or use voice for two weeks. Went up to see my dad in care home but I couldn't communicate with him as he's registered blind wears a hearing aid and has vascular dementia so had to leave as I got upset. Couldn't even get him to understand that I was going and he was staying there, because he can't read. Oh my God I feel so helpless, the only way I communicate with mydad is through speech and hugs which I gave him but he kept askinh me questions which I couldn't answer. So powerless its sick.

:(:( oh that's so sad :(:( Hope you get your voice back soon.

It can be lonely bringing up kids and spending lots of time on your own.

A close friend said that bringing up children is weird 'cos you can be so lonely yet never alone...
