  • Hi everyone, 18 AF days cos not drinking tonight. There is a new beer called Equator, heard about it in slimming world magazine, 0% alcohol 0 Calories and 0 syns. Just tastes like beer.

Tesco Credit Card £250 £25 DD 0% for next 10 months.

Barclaycard Initial £241.45 0% for next 7 mths.

  • Whoops! I appear to have drank the whole bottle last night. Not a great start. Must try harder.

Why can't I stop at 2 glasses? One is not enough, 2 is perfect, but by the time I get to the bottom of the second one, I seem to have a "Devil may care" attitude and just carry on. I've recently stopped drinking red wine as I always ended up having a full bottle to myself and ruining the following day in the process. White is far kinder to me the next day, but I really need to learn to say NO after 2 glasses.

    Any tips?

Hi all, 12 AFDs for me please :)

Won't be AF tonight as having a couple of glasses whilst watching Eurovision. I keep thinking it's Sunday today, and it's always nice when I realise I still have another day off to go!

    Hi Folks
    6 AF please Shaggy
Spent last weekend down in London with a dear friend, and we scoffed our way round London, eating the most amazing food. People in London are so lucky to have the most fantastic resturants on their doorsteps
Have only read back a few pages, but when reading your post Cuppa on feeling lonely my first thought was is there any room in your life for a dog at the moment?? Its a great way to meet people, and will also force you to go out. ((hugs))

3 bottles of Becks drunk last night whilst watching Eurovision last night, so no AFD but only 3 small bottles and felt I'd had more than enough :) So still 16 AFDs so far.

Can I come back in after being MIA? I've had a bit of a mare recently and have been drinking far too much. Cuppa and 41, you are real
Inspirations, dealing with so much in your lives bug not just hitting the bottle.

I've been fretting about weight/exercise/employment etc. and realise that The biggest thing I can do to improve all pf these things is to cut right back on the amount I drink.
Last night I went to big fundraiser party with a band and only drank diet coke. My head thanks me today and I have the first AFD for weeks.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Let my head and stomach be a warning against innumerable glasses of wine. The family wedding yesterday was beautiful, but there must have been about 10 meals between 5pm and 5am (yes, 5am), with plenty of opportunity for dancing. The venue, Palace Smilowice, is wholly dedicated to weddings. A Polish tradition is that the toasts are accompanied by vodka (ouch).
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

:wave:good to see you gien. Sorry RL has been hard but like you say if cuppa and 41 can cope so can we. Well done on your AFD and great plan to get back on the wagon.

I'm going to be MIA myself this week. Having a short UK break. I know I'll be drinking but I also know it'll be sensible and moderate. Gone are the days when I used to take bottles with me to have in my hotel room:o or when I was shepherding friends towards bars from about 11.00 am onwards.:o

    Back soon.:):A

    13AF please Shaggy
Felt the closet to having a drink today, doing the gardening, sun out till gone 7, but I got a pint of squash instead

41/Cuppa - I joined a local group, but didn't end up going as I met my bf called 'Meetup', there's an app as well

They had loads going on, and I def would have gone to some of the outings, from walks, bowling, cinema etc
Have a look on your local website, it's ideal for people like us who struggle to get out - and cuppa - you can join events last minute ;)
