Hi all, 11 AFDs for me please.

Had a day of learning about new a database system we'll be using, and my head is fudged lol :rotfl:

But really enjoying being back working with a group of people as the other role was just me on my own. Didn't realise how isolating it could be.

Hope people are having a good week. Nearly over ;)

Pub quiz last night and no drink for me, no drink either for tonight, so 15 AFDs so far :-)
  • Feeling good tonight, lost 7 and a half pounds in slimming world. Eating healthily and not drinking as mortality seems to be all around.
Mum's twin brother died in February - due to alcohol, diabetes and waiting for other results. Found dead in bed, police broke in.
Friend's mother died in ICU opposite my auntie.
Friend from church died during a routine hip replacement but had post-op complications.
Second cousin died of COPD again, near to my auntie in ICU.
Other second cousin, sister of above, broke hip 4 days after her sisters funeral, and was terminal breast cancer patient and died. Funeral tomorrow.
Auntie died 2 and a half weeks ago, throat cancer and riddled. Died in the same ICU. Funeral a week tomorrow.
Auntie died on Saturday of septicaemia in same ICU. Funeral a week tomorrow, my two cousins are burying their mothers an hour apart.
Everything that I do is for these people, I have a chance to change and my life is nothing if not to try and live it for the better, without deliberately trying to shorten it. These family members and friends their time ran out, mine has not and I don't know when it will.
RIP Uncle David, my friend's mum Irene or Eileen, Molly, Margaret, Nesta, Auntie Shirley, Auntie Melanie. Never give up on life til it gives up on you. Look after yourselves, I wish you peace and health and happiness.

  • Hello

Just spotted this thread and think I'll pull up a chair if you'll have me. Me and OH know we drink too much and have the same conversations over and over and over again about giving up, getting fit, having spare cash, feeling better after AF nights etc., etc., you know the score.

A trip to our friends pub on Saturday for a nice chilled drink in the beer garden turned into a full-blown, unexpected, bank account crushing night out. We haven't had a drink Sun, Mon or Tue and then shared a bottle last night. Tonight we are AF again.

Can you add me to the list please? Happy to report 4 out of 5 AF nights so far.

    What are SNC's please?

    TMD xx
