5 AFDs please Shaggy
I jumped straight back on the wagon tonight with no problem at all and that was staying home all evening as my dance class was cancelled.
I won't be AF again now until Thursday. I'm out to dinner tomorrow and then have people round on Wednesday. I know I'll be moderate (it's drinking alone in the kitchen that's my downfall).
Very slow going this month. I'll be lucky to meet my target as I'm on holiday next week.0 -
Just a quick appearance to say 9AF days now.
Well done everyone.
macpep- very brave going for an AF weekend. Rather like you I can't remember the last time I had an AF weekend. Probably about 15 years ago when carrying my 3rd one, but perhaps the odd one since then. Really can't remember! Good luck with it. Haven't got the guts/will to do it yet.
Off to York on Sat to visit DD at uni as its her birthday. I will drive home so won't drink then but Friday night is designated.
Good luck to all.
Kind regards

Good morning,
Bagged AFD #1 this week and boy was it hard! Sleep was the hardest thing but I did get some sleep and I do feel ok this morning.

8AF please Shaggy
Planning on doing a car boot on Sunday, so spent last night sorting things out - amazing how much rubbish the kids accumulate!

Hi all, 9 AFDs for me please.
I am surprisingly calm throughout this induction process for my new job. I usually get het up about new situations and uncertainty, but I am taking it all in my stride and am allowing things to unfold. Other people seem really anxious, which is understandable as it's a new way of working for most of us...I am dead chilled
I think the fact that I am back in a position where I wait for other people to tell me what to do is suiting me just fine :rotfl:0 -
Hi All :hello:
I was AF as planned last night, Tuesday night is 'date night' :rotfl: so not sure what I will do but SW weigh in tomorrow may keep me AF tonight  & DH is nightshift.
Slowdown - A month ago I would never have been able to say that let alone do it, the Friday being AF is getting easier but this will be the first of AF Friday & Saturday & its not going to easy by any means, as long as I don't have anything in the house when I come back on Saturday I will be fine. I was thinking I could have a bottle waiting for me to come home to, but whats the point in that, I would probably just be nagging DH asking when we are going home where he would just crash out anyway, as will I after all the cooking & events of the day :rotfl:. We shall see what happens.:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Will be AF tonight, so 14 days and counting, feeling the stress and usually would be drinking and trying to cope, know that it doesn't solve my problems, really hope I can feel calmer and less stressed without caving.

41- excellent news on the AF days. Keeping calm is always part of my mission but it doesn't work sometimes.
Take today for example. Got into a conversation with a colleague today about his wife who died of cancer about 10 years ago. He mentioned something said by one of the doctors at the time and this was exactly the same as my husband was told. A cold dragging feeling in my stomach began to pull at me until I wanted to run away and hide. He is still seen every 3 months and scanned every 6 months as its just less than two years since the last occurance. All the possibilities came flooding back (I have managed to be positive these last few months) and I have spent the day feeling anxious and slightly sick. So instead of feeling calm tonight on my way to yoga I am now feeling on edge. And I'll give you 3 guesses as to what I want to turn to in order to calm down! Of course, the wine bottle.
None of this is as easy as it looks, is it?
Hey ho. Another one down 10 AFs for me please. (But only just!)
Kind regards
