Any alternative could be worse.
What would you suggest?
How about no PPC at all. They serve no useful purpose whatsoever.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

How would you police parking on private land, such as retail parks and private car parks?
Who says they need policing ? Oh I know the parking companies ! They actually cause most problems in car parks when they arrive, as you can see by the many thousands of posts and threads here! When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

What on earth makes you think they need 'policing'? POLICING?! That's the bottom line, who has indoctrinated that idea into your mind?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As you introduced the term, i'd like the Police to do some Policing and bring the parking scoundrels to book.
In my experience there are very few retail car parks that have a problem. Those few usually already have a sensible system of control in place. No need for scammers.
And just so you know, i frequent these car parks daily.0 -

In the end the management bought in a parking company which solved the problem in a few weeks (they were clamping).
I believe there is a place for parking companies.
Surely the owners of private land should have a right to enforce terms of usage.0 -
Haven't you ever heard of individual drop-down lockable posts for parking bays? they would have worked. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

My small company used to operate out of a business centre with around 40 companies in it. Part of the rent covered parking. Due to the layout and planning issues it was not possible to fence and barrier the car park. It was also close to a station and many non tenants would park there all day.

Every car park is unique and sometimes thinking has to be done by the landowner and interested parties. But bringing in clampers is a sure way of losing customers as ultimately they are the ones clamped. They were made illegal because of their knuckle dragging illegal activities, and deserve to be out of business.
The only place for parking companies in their present format is liquidation, they lie, intimidate, threaten, illegally operate, and have no place in parking management, as they don't actually do that, cameras on entry/exit is not management! When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. I see yet again ILW you have hijacked a thread. If you want't to start a discussion about private parking companies then start your own thread. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
