It's to the right in the titlebar of each board on larger screen or in the middle as a blue band on small/mobile ones

It will only be there on each board index, and only on ones where posting are allowed and are not just a category to contain other boards.

For example you won't see one on the CAB boards as they are closed for posting.

    For example:

MSE: many of the benefits of a helpful family, without disadvantages like having to compete for the tv remote

Right, but don't forget that most newbies arrive to this thread directly from some stupid 'Guide'. In the first place one has to go to Forum and find the most relevant board, e.g. Savings & Investments
  • Its probably me, but I cannot work out how I post a question?

See post #102 above and replies.
  • I have watched the introduction guide too and cannot work out how to post something on the forum - there is no "new post" button or anything that might be it in another guise - do I just "reply" to the top thread even though it might not be the subject I want to raise/discuss? Please advise!

Admittedly I was a lurker for quite a while before I actually joined but even without watching the guide I spotted the 'New Thread' button on every board that I visited.
  • I am aware this will have a "right" place to be but I cannot see how to . I am not a newbie to forums, in fact I worked for 8 years as forum moderator. Just cannot see where to access the right page.

    Help please

Try posting in "House Buying, Renting & Selling":
