We WILL get an EU referendum

So no referendum then....
Nonsense, employment is heading in right direction and the economy is rebalancing. Highest inwards investment in Europe.
As long as the public feel the direction of travel is on the right course, it will be a win.
Labour will be painted as the old party of immigration and welfare, diversity officers and the public sector.0 -
Ed Balls can be annoying and noisy, but then a lot of politicians are.
Ed Milliband is just a caricature without a backbone, an annoying voice and no gravitas.
If not for the trades union would he really be where he is?
Would any of them? Labour is a wholly owned subsidiary, after all.
BTW, no need for the Tory bashers to start carping about Lord Snooty and his pals funding the Tories. That's a given, too.0 -

Honestly, this shower of incompetents seem determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory each and every time.
How you could possibly respect Labours record is beyond me. Tax n spendaholics, grew the PS, halved maunfacturing, made us less competetive, bowed to every European dictat.
Honestly the weakest leadership imaginable, apart from Eds that is.
Any fool can tax n spend. Far braver and Brit bulldog spirit to set the tougher course and see it through.0 -

:rotfl:Don't let it upset you
Oh, it's not upsetting me at all.
Cameron has been backed into a corner by UKIP stealing votes from the right. This smacks of desperation, but given Labour's astonishingly large lead in the polls for such a long time, he had little choice.
It won't work though.
And there's still virtually zero prospect of a referendum happening, and even less of the UK leaving the EU.
It is damaging to the country though, thanks to all the uncertainty, investment in the UK will suffer at a time when we can ill afford it.
But so be it, just all the more reason not to vote Conservative next time.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

This sounds like a counter attack on UKIP0

Guy Verhofstad has responded, stating there will be NO renegotiation of any part of the EU.
Seriously, why do we want to be part of this?0 -

I don't.
I've voted Conservative my whole life.
Won't be doing so again though.
The staggering incompetence of this government is unforgivable.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Of course there won't, and Cameron knows it.
This is just a political ploy, a futile attempt to win back defectors form UKIP and keep them in the running for the next election.
It's not going to work though.
There are far more votes in the centre than on the far right, and cameron has just hammered the final nail in the coffin of Tory chances for winning in 2015.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Hehe, you REALLY hate the idea of democracy playing out, don't you! Basically, after being so pro tory before the coalition took power, you've turned around and stated that basically you won't vote for them again, as they are offering the people a say.0 -
The reason the Tories won't win next election is not just down to their incompetence..........I can see almost every liberal vote going to labour
Those voters ..have been smashed to pieces in this coalition ....And they will blame the Conservatives as much as they will blame their own party0
