Hi Homelovin,
I hadn't thought about that at all! not such a bad idea
and means i wouldn't have to do loads of work and thinking about it even unfurnished would be a help not having to fork out for stuff. Thanks for the alternative view.

Wish to thank Lee for helping close my Vodaphone contract, unfortunately my fault for not sorting out earlier and saving a pot of money.. but many thanks Lee! and kudos to VP for helping people on here or maybe I am a special case!
You're more than welcome Tom.

Well last week was a bad one, hopefully this will be better
I started last week foobaring my docs appointment even though I had set an alarm in the morning to remind me that I had it in the afternoon and then with 10mins to go realised I was going to miss it, work has been very busy at the moment and have been using up all my energies trying to keep the plates spinning. I rang the surgery and apologised to a very scary receptionist and thankfully they have given me another one tomorrow at 10am so multiple alarms set and post-its posted.
I am still waiting for my coop account details and they did say 7-10 working days so becoming a bit nail biting as am almost out of money. Will start walking tomorrow when oyster card runs out, which will save a bit more cash, but until I have this account I cannot send postal orders or set up Standing Orders, and am getting a bit stressed about it.. as now have no money for postal orders to.
On the flat front, my youngest brother and SiL have offered me a couch to surf for a while to get myself back on my feet, which I am going to take. Means I can save some money and will be with family although not sure how this will work, but at least gives me some breathing space to find another room. Estate agents have started to advertise and am sure they are letting themselves in or maybe landlords, not sure, but have to get my stuff out into storage and might be able to do this through a friend who already has a storage unit..
The sun is out and feeling a bit more optimistic again.. although kicking myself about last week.. But onwards and upwards...Calculating Debts0 -

Hi Tom
Good to see a post form you, keep going lovely. I know it feels like your spinning plates now but look how far you've come in such a few weeks. You're taking control and things are beginning to happen for the better. If I were you I would focus on getting your stuff out of the flat aswell as you don't people having access toy our personal items. Keep us updated after your docs appointment tomorrow, you'll feel much better on the other side! Have you chased co-op regarding your bank details? Might be worth seeing where they are upto!

Hi Tom,
Just wanted to check in and to echo what others have already said - you are doing amazingly! It might not feel like that, but remember that soooo many people in similar situations just bury their heads in the sand and don't deal with any of this.
You're doing great!
I was in a horrid situation a few years ago - ex walked out, left me with a completely unpayable mortgage and I also had my own debts to contend with. I very nearly went under; lost 2 stone in about a month, couldn't eat/sleep/work and had no friends/family nearby to help me. I honestly thought I'd come to the end of the line.
Most people on this forum have similar stories and you will get there, one day at a time.
Maybe posting an up to date SoA will help - it'll show you the savings so far!!
I didn't see whether you got the BR tax sorted?? BR is basic rate - I was on this as a higher rate payer by mistake and ended up getting a nice rebate. Sorry if this has been sorted and I missed it!!!
Best of luck, I know you'll get there!

You're making great progress. I know it only seems like small steps, but together they make a plan and you will get through it.
Oh, and don't kick yourself . . . it hurts, and you need to be kind to yourself
