£929 on Tesco CC on 21st Jan ..........

I had £395 taken from my HSBC Gold card account on 21/01/2013, payment went to Tech Giants Walsall, I was in the middle of a month long trip in Thailand at the time and didn't find out about the payment until yeasterday!
I failed to get through to the HSBC fraud team on the telephine because it was an automated answer service and I had to input a telephone security code number which I didn't have, so instead went to my local branch and reported it there!
The person I talked to cancelled my card and said they would investigate and if it turned out that I had ordered something form this company I would have to pay but if it was a genuine fraud they would issue a refund!
Also listed the purchase as automotive parts!, I haven't owned a car for three years!
I have searched for Tech Giants in Walsall and as far as I can make out this company doesn't exist!
I live in South Wales, don't use my card much either!
There are so many complaints about this fraud that I'm surprised my cc company didn't know anything about it!
Anyone heard back from the fraud dept yet?

Not yet. getting a bit worried to be honest as it's been three and a half weeks now. How long do they need? Just contacted them and still ongoing.

MBNA called me back and went through the details with me, closed my account and sent me a new card and also a form to sign to say it was a unauthorised transaction. Last I heard about it. No hassle involved from my end really.

Quick update.money refunded and had letter from cc company.didn't explain much so still don't know who these guys are. they did say they will need to contact me if the retailer disputed it. Not likely judging by the number of people swindled.

Received latest Credit card statement today and they have refunded the original amount back to my account so I didn't incur any charges - so I believe that is issued closed for me!:)

Same problem - Mastercard nearly at the end of it's period and £250 charged to it by Mech Giants Walsall - Walsall is the key.
Nat West cancelled the card and the debt immediately. It seems that most of the shots took place in Jan 13.

I noticed a transaction £109.91, that I didn't recognise, had come out of my MBNA card. It also came from 'Tech Giants Walsall'. I phoned MBNA & they are investigating it. They are kindly crediting my account with the amount taken out too.

Afterwards, I googled the company & I was both surprised & relieved to find that I wasn't the only one affected by this.
