Morning all
DD has gone to her dad's; he can pick up the painkillers she needs so that saves me traipsing out until I head off into the Peak District National Park later.
Blue skies; warm in the sunshine so washing on the line again...even if it just lightens it it will cut down on the leccy.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
No snow here and when I drove home from taking DD riding the temperature was up to a balmy 5!! Lovely blue sky but can't go out for a nice long walk as DS unwell and is lying on the sofa with a blanket over him feeling worn out
. Sorry if any of you have a delicate disposition but he brought up some catarrh a few times this morning (once all over my pillow and sheet I only put on 2 days ago - plus my PJs top for good measure ). A quiet day will do him good.
Sorted the WM, remade our bed, airing kids beds some more and need to vacuum upstairs. DD's room is a tip and she looks to have inherited her father's habit of not putting clothes away in the wardrobe but dumping them on the back of her chair/floor etc . Have to rid her of that methinks.

I've got a sparkly clean bathroom and am about to put some towels on the line.
Cat bedding next, and a clean bed for moi too.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
5" of the white stuff overnight!
It snowed so hard that at 10 o'clock last night I put down my glass of port and donned a hoodie, scarf, coat, mittens and trainers (over my pj's) and joined DD2 in making an extra snowman! We had great fun - DD2 was similarly attired - wellies, onesie, coat, scarf, mittens and bear hat!
I should point out that DD2 is 19....... (and I am 50!)... and we really enjoyed ourselves...
This morning I staggered to the shop, purchased food for the next couple of days and retired home to look at the snow through the window.
Am decluttering the ironing pile....
PS Ladies....DS did it again last night - clothes in the washer I mean....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Lovely cake Bossymoo. I hope the birthday celebrations go well.
I'm having a break from a 90 minutes ironing marathon. DH is getting lunch prepared. He is a bit at a loose end when sporting activities are affected by the weather.
MIL is calling in soon. She has taken it upon herself to shame the older boys into keeping their bedrooms clear. This makes them tip a weeks worth of washing into the laundry baskets in Saturday mornings. I'm not impressed either way.
I had a phone call yesterday and have won a childrens birthday party worth nearly £200! Very happy as I can now afford decent party bags and the cake will be homemade after my cake decorating class last night.
The snow is melting! Woo hoo!0 -
Wonderful cake, Bossy. I hope Skint and Holly are safely home and all is well.
I realised last night I'd forgotten to take my happy pills this week. Sorry if I've been a pain.Better is good enough.0 -
Dusted and hovered lounge, study and dining room. Cleaned out the woodburner and DH has been out chopping logs and sticks. 're laid and ready to light later. DH and DS walking to the butcher and local shop for bacon and bread whilst I S&S the kitchen. So what am I doing on here lolMake £10 per day in July £45.48/£310

Mr LW and I have been running around like blue-@rsed flies to get all the weekend tasks done today, as these are the tasks I cannot manage alone; I'm absolutely dreading tomorrow, when he'll have to leave at 07:30, and won't get home til after 22:00:( - somehow it seems worse on a Sunday than a weekday - probably because he'd be at work on a weekday, albeit not for as long, but he'd normally be keeping me company on a Sunday. I sure hope Megan's good at chasing BDs.:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hello everyone. Hugs to all who need them. Lovely cake Bossy.
Honey Bear, you've been great this week.
Well, today, I've done a local shop with DH, walked two of the dogs (SickDog still resting), hoovered downstairs, taken clothes off airer and put away, made pizza base for tonight and done dailies. I have also prepared some chicken & rice for LittleyDog as she had had problems this week too. Fingers crossed, nothing happens with OldDog!!
Hope everyone is having a good day. Its bright sunshine here and the snow if melting.
Catch you all later.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Hey!
DS did better at football this week. Helped by his kit arriving, and only 5 boys made it with the snow, so he seemed more relaxed.
Back home and we've had a tidy round, I've put some stew on to cook and cleaned the sofa. There were marks all over it. I've also found a box for the cake, and had a little tidy in playroom.
Mum called from sm, she's going to bring some scones and jam to add to afternoon tea tomorrow.
So I think we are all set!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0
