mine isnt a spotless show home by any stretch of the imagination:rotfl:
its still cluttered with kids, dvds, games, wool, stitchy stuff, books and sometimes i cant see the dining table (which also serves as craft table/homeworkspot/dumping ground for all sorts) to actually clean it. but with the help of this thread i am slowly creating order out of chaos. following'ish' the lists i feel like im achieving something and it looks cleaner.
But mine will always be a 'lived in' home not a 'show house'

it will have made a difference PigPen after all its something you haven't got to deal with again. i cant say i will notice the space i created giving those bags of stuff to the animal sanctuary yesterday but i haven't got to step round them in the door way or fight the airing cupboard door to shut against them again.
    :T

Glad you're back, havent 'seen' you around for a while:)

We are probably more full than we were 6 months ago and certainly no cleaner!

I've been busy dealing with snot and other things beginning with s and ending in t and shaving my mangy senile cat and christmas and tbh I've been a right miserable winnieface so best not to inflict that on other people :p

In this weeks good news KH is moving to Chichester in 2 months.. and giving me £50 a week.. better than the FA I have had up to now.. not 'enough' according to CSA but are they ever happy? It means an end to the stupid midweek visits to his and tired at school which has to be a good thing. It also means they will be back at a sensible time on a Sunday as he will be travelling back. The one thing I am not pleased about is he wants his bedbuddy to drive them from here to there and I am not happy with that at all. If anything happened I would want someone with them who could make a decision on their medical care and one of us there with them, as their parents we should be.

He wants to take the girls for a week at easter though which they will consider a holiday :/

In the land of flying I need to do some :p.. I shall show willing and go do my daily binbag filling session, see how many bags I can fill in 15 minutes! T'was binday yesterday so I have 2 empty wheelie bins to feed!

OH and Squeak off ice skating shortly so I need to prep her bag too.

Decided to bore you with pics..

Really want a dyson or a henry. Any recommendations?

    Henry x a million..

I had a Dyson, it lasted about 3 weeks.. absolute bag o' poo I wouldn't have one given. Judging by the reviews the newer models are even worse than the old ones for faults and overheating and just generally dying.

Henry going strong 9 years later and has vacuumed everything from body parts (mouse and bird not person) to rubble and plaster and I even vacuumed the outside when we had the windows replaced and there was broken glass outside.

    Okay, lunchtime update.

I'm going to have to fly before I go the post office. The battery on my phone died while I was listening to music & doing dailies while waiting on the TD :o Can't wait for march and my new phone, this one is driving me mad :D

Beds are made, all rooms are "nicki tidy" (aka tidy enough I can dust, but some things that will be in use still left out but now tidy. DD hates this tidy as its much clearer than her tidy :rotfl:), dishes all washed except for my coffee mug/spoon & lunch dishes, kitchen all wiped down, light snow thats coming down sworn at every time I see it, nail varnish removed (that took 30min itself  No more glitter nails for me unless its Xmas or the like!), just about to throw a duster over the house while I wait for my phone to charge, no music on incase DD texts and I don't hear it. Then hopefully I can go out and get this blooming form

    Personal:
    Thur: Order for work
Fri: DD away from tea time :D

    MUST DO:
    Sort smoke alarm replacement
    Passport form from post office

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One

    [STRIKE]Clean floors[/STRIKE]
    Level Three

Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky

    Tuesday Living Room
    Level 1

    [STRIKE]Vacuum floors and sofas[/STRIKE]
    Level 2

    Dusting, even if around everything
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Level 3
    Wipe light switches and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc

    [STRIKE]Vacuum under furniture[/STRIKE]

Wonderful Wednesdays - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1

    Remove and wash bed linen.
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen, air the bed if possible
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed - this is a work in progress. I'm trying to gather all the gloves/hats/scarves which are scattered through out the house thanks to DD so I can sort them into pairs. Why on earth she had 1 mitten in her bed under her pillow I don't know :rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi All,

I hope youre all managing with the snow! We hardly have any at all, so its been business as usual for us and 13 hour shifts every day! I have a day off today though, so I need to make the most, and get the cleaning and batch cooking done!

Off to whack on a pot of lentil soup I think and whip round the house if anyone wants to join in :D

Yay, large item (DS1 high rise bed) sold on ebay for an amount I am very happy with. That is step one towards reorganising DS1 and DS3's rooms which will involve moving a wall this summer!

WM on, hair drying and lunch next then frog nibbling and hopefully not spitting out.

  • Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh.... I've not managed to keep up this week so far & it's already wednesday....
We're pretty much snowed in here :( I think it's so beautiful to look at but goodness doesn't it cause a whole heap of trouble!!
With DS1 & 2 home along with DH I am not getting much done due to being disturbed all the time & getting them to help out is not working well either..

I've not quite caught up with all your posts yet but well done to those who've cracked on & got stuff done, hugs to those who need them & for those who're snow bound please keep safe x
