    Morning All

Hope you are all well, still hardly any snow here however, DD & DS were determined to make a snowman so they made one about 3” with carrot nose & everything :rotfl:

Well DH got an email yesterday afternoon, he didn’t get the job. I have told him to go to Citizens Advice as his position isn’t actually being made redundant, I believe, under normal circumstances if the position is made redundant then it cannot then be offered to someone else. According to his Union Rep, its different in the railway, meaning he can be made redundant & a driver senior to him can fill his position.
To let you understand, he is not on the mainline he is based in his yard & known as a ‘Driver Operator’, a position that cannot be made redundant as he moves all wagons about in the yard, so if he goes, a mainline driver can take his job & still get paid a mainline drivers salary ie over 10k more than DH. I think it is so unfair & told him I would ask to see this “so called” rule that is written in a Union Book that no one has ever saw.

Sorry for the rant but I am so

Flying wise, cleaned all the kitchen after dinner, (I do this every night anyway as I like a tidy kitchen) LR all tided, DH had already hovered rug & floors so dining table & all glass stuff cleaned after dinner, bathroom S & S, DS bathed, both children had no TV last night as their behaviour was terrible! DS has football training tonight but its my friends turn to take them so I plan so iron from 5.45 – 7.15 whilst catching up on Hollyoaks :A

    Good morning everyone

:T Well done Skint - take it easy while you're in hospital and bring that babe of yours out soon. I'm sure DS :A will want you both home asap.

No flying for me this morning, apart from S&S kitchen (done) and ensuite (when I've had my shower), as I've got to drive for 1½ hours to a meeting that lasts 1½ hours and then back 1½ hours  Not my idea of fun, but it has to be done. I fell asleep early yesterday evening and still haven't got all the eB@y items listed as planned, but will carry on with them later today. The house is tidy if not exactly sparkling, and DH has cleared all his painting stuff and figures out of the LR, so if I don't get anything done today I should get a clear run at it all tomorrow ;)

Thanks to all for kind messages yesterday. DH has gone off to work in an OK mood, so we carry on.

Calming vibes to Mumof2 for your GP visit.

Sorry to hear about your lodgers Honeybear - hope you get some more bookings very soon.

(((Hugs))) to Bossy and the little moos.

    Welcome to newbies :j

Hope everyone has a good day!

I echo this! Luckily for me the physio stuck her head round the door before I left hospital after my 2nd c section (16 months after my first) and said ' I told you to rest and NOT lift after your first section - this time i've come in to teach you to lift SAFELY - because you'll have to!'

Ironing marathon almost complete - I will finish the backlog today! DD1 is at the ortodontist - so it's something soft for tea today!

I never even SAW a physio, I was just thrust a leaflet with the 'what not to do' list.. I didn't even read it after the first time which had me giggling madly.. though that might have passed for hysteria.

I got home at 4pm on christmas eve after one of mine.. = LOTS AND LOTS of lifting to get presents out and a frantic tidy and vacuum of the living room. I did manage to drop a jug full of water because it was literally too heavy for me to hold.. and then I was told off lol... I just wanted to wash the blood out of the baby's hair so I could see how badly the hateful scumbag has sliced her head ('it' has now been struck off for medical negligence!!!!!)

Opto.. I'm still alive so things can't be that bad ;) xx I still live in squalor and it appears to be getting worse.. I NEED OH to bug off and get a job so I have some flying time.. I just can't seem to get through it with him under my feet.

    Morning all :D

Hugs, spoons, etc to all who need them. I've forgotten what I was going to reply to stuff now :o

Was MIA yesterday as I had paid stuff to do, then I was decluttering Paul McKennas lastest book, so I can start with that on Monday as there's a CD and DVD to do as well :D Then had more paid stuff yesterday evening.

Lunch time yesterday I got a phonecall from DD. She fell over at playtime and claimed she'd dislocated her left knee but it had gone back on its own. The teacher saw to her and told her to phone me at lunchtime. I told her to take the paracetamol she has for emergencies but if it didn't improve I was taking her the walk-in! (She dislocated/broke her right knee at guide camp back in June and only got discharged from the hospital/physio in November and I'm dreading it going again. Her aunt had the same injury a few years ago and hers has gone again  ) So home time comes, I call in at DD's old primary school to collect orders, asked nicely if someone could sign the passport form for me (they said yes, but only because I'm an ex-member of staff *huge sigh of relief*) then met DD at the bus stop and took her to the walk-in as she was still in a lot of pain. All checked and its just bruised, but the bruise is right on the front where it moves the most. So painkillers is all we can do. I popped into Mr A's nextdoor and got some arnicare which she's put on it, but she's hobbling this morning and its all stiff :( Sent her off to school (Lightly snowing again! Just when its nearly all melted here on the roads/pavements, just big patches of compacted stuff which is now ice) with a note for PE explaining whats happened as she has "fitness" today and finds that hard enough at the best of times. She's also taken painkillers, and taken one with her for lunchtime with strict instructions that she can't take it until near the end of lunch and she has to text me first to let me know how the knee is ;)

So my plan for today is to jump the bus to the post office to get the passport form, have a quick mooch in the shops up that way while I'm there, then come home and fly as I haven't done much at all this week :oFirst though I need to put a wash on, do dailies & remove the nail varnish I put on last night :( It mustn't have been quite dry enough when I went to bed and its all pushed out of shape and looks terrible due to chunks missing :( Oh well, plain coat of varnish for today then ;)

    Personal:
    Thur: Order for work
Fri: DD away from tea time :D

    MUST DO:
    Sort smoke alarm replacement
    Passport form from post office

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clean floors
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the kick boards
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
    Remove clutter
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
    Level 3
    Wipe light switches and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags
    Vacuum under furniture

Wonderful Wednesdays - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1

    Remove and wash bed linen.
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen, air the bed if possible
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed

Macpep1 sorry to hear DH didn't get the job; be interesting to hear what the CAB say.

Nicki, hope your DD is OK, bruising is nasty isn't it - am I right in thinking Arnica helps to bring it out or am I bit muddled?

Got to go to GP now; thanks for the vibes. Think DH is taking me out somewhere after which'll be nice. Made a good start on my list anyhow:
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clean floors

Wonderful Wednesdays - Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
Sort linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more

    • Clean windows in these rooms

Yeah, I hope it works! I couldn't remember what it was called and originally went in to get witch hazel but the cream was sat next to it on the shelf so I bought it instead. Means the house won't stink of witch hazel due to DD spilling it ;):rotfl:

So far, bedrooms tidied up, DD's bed has had its quilt and blankets removed to let it air, as they were all in a pile in the middle of it anyway and I needed to find the socks she wore to bed last night (she never seems to be wearing them in the morning though!), livingroom tided up and stray items put into appropriate baskets to take upstairs, towels I found in the drier now folded and ready to go up, now I'm going to take my nail varnish off before I wash up while I wait for the WM to finish. Not bad for 20min work :D

Not had a chance to catch upi with the thread yet, so hugs, spoon and positive vibes to all who need/want them.

Full day of work yesterday and everybidy seems to have some sort of virus and given my immune system is so low by the time I got home last night I was feeling awaful and got no flying done. Though DD did cook dinner (kitchen still a mess and it was only bug in the oven chicken an chip) and DS put the hoover over the Living room.

Todays a study day, so the plan is to do some flying this morning and crack on with my studies this afternoon, if this brain fog lift....but before I get started I need my morning coffee.

    Happy Flying
