  • Ooooh another big OOOHH!! I've just realised my snowball calculator app was a little out as it only carried over my minimum payment rather than the fixed payment I currently pay to the BC (big difference of £160 in the two!) so that means my DFD is actually closer than I thought because when the BC is cleared I will obviously just throw all the extra cash at the NW. So that's another month off the DFD as it currently stands at August 2014!! Happy days!! :D:D:D:D

  • Stupidly left my keys at home this morning and only realised when I tried to get through the door. Nice little half hour wait for BF to get home

Not much exciting to report, went shopping yesterday and was extra naughty as I missed yet another insanity workout. Need to get my act together otherwise I'm guna lose all the good I've done over the last 4 weeks!

Paid the extra £40 onto my BC today so nudging ever forward toward being debt free! Oh how nice it will be to be skint cos I'm saving for a deposit rather than being skint cos I'm paying debts!!

  • So all DDs seem to be in order now thankfully. Left a couple on my URCA account so I still qualify for all the insurances etc but I no longer use the overdraft so everything costs £10.

Caught up with my insanity workouts, it's "recovery week" so not quite as intense as previous weeks but with moves called shoulder burners and hip flexor burners it's not all sunshine and flowers! Still not seeing any big changes but it steps up another level after this recovery week and many people say this is when the magic happens so we will see.

No spends today, there should be none for the rest of the week. Not sure what we are doing this weekend with it being bank holiday. I guess it will depend on the weather! It's my birthday a week on Monday and I want to know what BF is getting me! Such an impatient soul!!

  • Forgot I had plans to go out for tea last night with a friend but we kept it cheap - a drinks, starter and main each and it was only £23 between us including a tip. Oh the joys of a Tastecard!! Think mine is due for renewal quite soon but I got it for £29 and that's all it will be to have it for another year.

Got a 12 month 0% BT offer from Halifax yesterday, don't think I've ever heard from them since I've had my CC with them! It's a cashback card and I use it for my monthly spends and just pay it off in full by DD. They must miss making money from me as I haven't paid interest in a very long time! Don't really think it is of any use to me though as I should hopefully clear everything (or very nearly everything!) by the time my current offers finish in April. Here's hoping!!

There will be no OT payments in my September pay packet at this rate but fingers crossed some extra money will come from somewhere!!

If all your current cards are 0% then there is no point using the offer. As you get towards April, you might be able to call them and see if they are able to offer you a 0% BT to cover. You might as well use the credit card as it was designed so they do not make money from you.
  • I hadn't planned on using it - I ripped up the letter and put it in the bin! I'll carry on using it for monthly purchases, earning my cashback and letting the DD pay it off in full. Simples.

An NSD weekend for me, need to look at food options for the next couple of days but I should get away without spending anything until Wednesday/Thursday at least. Going to Manchester with the girls on Saturday for a lunch date and a catch up. Early birthday treat for me and I'm going to allow myself one cheeky little purchase. Just not sure what that will be quite yet!

Started insanity week 6 today, it's steps up a notch for the next month and if tonight's session is anything to go by its guna be a hard few weeks! Must keep it up though cos this is when you're meant to start seeing changes!!

  • Been very good this week not spent a thing as I don't want to go above my £300 monthly spends limit!! My CC usually resets around the 26th of each month so it's quite late - hopefully it will be tomorrow as I could do with getting some bits in for the house. Sent BF to get tea tonight so I wouldn't have to fork out pennies!!

Insanity was hard yesterday and today, working late tomorrow night but going in later so will have to get my workout done first thing, same on Saturday as I have plans to go on a pre-birthday trip to Manchester with the girls. Allowing myself one small purchase but not sure what that will be quite yet!!

I think my BC DD goes out tomorrow so I'll get to update my signature totals!! Yey!! :j

  • Happy September everyone!!

This year is whipping by! I'm one step closer to the big 3-0 tomorrow

Updated my sig - made my 25 NSDs although I think I've cheated a but by sending BF to buy the last couple of top up shops! :o Ah well I'm still there!! My BC payments have made it to 80% of my £3k target in 2013 which is quite exciting!! Even if I make no more overpayments for the rest of the year I'll still pay it off!! I just want to get rid of the whole lot as soon as possible though so just going to hammer it until my statement reads big fat £0.00s!!

Done my spending review for August, generally just like any of the previous months tbh, still come in just under my £300 spending target which is good and includes a couple of outings so I'm not hiding away like a complete hermit.

Went to Manchester with a couple of friends yesterday, was going to allow myself a couple of treats but I only purchased lunch and a train ticket. Sod's law that when you want something you can never find something you're willing to part with your pennies for. Think I qualify as a complete tight a55 now!! Hate spending money!! Haha!!

Got a couple of days off this week, doing some jobs today and then I can just laze around (after my insanity workout obviously!!) and rest my ageing bones!!! :D

Thanks for stopping by. I'm pretty happy with how things are going but got to do better!! After my £3K target for 2013 is cleared I will have a couple of instalments left on my loan, my NW CC and just over £1K left on my BC but it'll all be 0% interest until April. Wondering if I'll be able to muster enough money together to pay it all off by then?! We will see we will see. I hope your debt free journey is going well??

It was my birthday yesterday, 3 years and I'll be hitting 30 which is the age I'd really like my stuff sorted by! By stuff I mean be debt free and hopefully be a house owner! And fingers crossed we'll have a puppy by then too!! :D I got a lovely watch from BF, I've been hinting at it for a long time so he's done alright! We had tea last night with a big group of friends which was really nice. BF has planned something for Saturday too because he was at work last weekend but not sure what it is! I got £150 birthday money but not really sure what I should do with it?? Do I use it for debt repayments, get myself a treat or put it in my savings?? Decisions decisions!

My insanity is going well although I still need to so today's workout. Generally feeling pretty stiff each day after the sessions but there's no magical weight loss as yet but then I guess it never really happens that way! Hopefully if I keep knuckling down I'll see results soon!!
