  • Insanity day 4 done! Slow and stretchy one today, back to the hard work tomorrow! Hopefully I'll start seeing some results soon. My jeans may start fitting better with any luck!!

Not an NSD as I've had to get supplies for the weekend. It has messed up my budgeting plans but as we get paid for working I shall end up back on an even keel. Other than that nothing exciting to report!!

  • As if it is time for yet another monthly spends overview!!

I wanted to aim for a £200 spend this month but I have gone over somewhat, mainly because we ended up going to the festival this weekend just gone - I get paid for the hours I did which will give me extra money in the end but I will have to wait until the money actually appears. So here we are...

£49.71 for festival supplies and spends
    £60.00 Cut & Colour
    £22.74 Toiletries
    £166.91 Food & household
    £3.96 Bathroom scales

So I would have been about £50 over budget if I hadn't spent anything on the festival but I should end up with £100 in wages for that weekend so that covers the spends plus a bit more. Not going to beat myself up about that!!

Cut & colour is just a given, until the day comes when I no longer need to be a blonde.

Toiletries was mainly a couple of drugstore mascaras and some bits and pieces that were on offer. Nothing major.

My food and household bill has crept up again, I noticed I had a couple of big shops as well as top ups where on previous months I'd had one big shop and a couple of small top ups. I have let my meal planning slip a little. Feel I am just cooking the same thing over and over and if it's boring me it must be boring BF!! Need to get my head back into it and get come new recipes going.

All in all the spends are normal. Hopefully next month I'll be able to make some decent overpayments on the BC as I should have various bits of extra money coming in from overtime, working the festival and my 1st Direct switching bonus. Fingers crossed all my Direct Debits have sorted themselves out come August, it has been a little annoying this month with having to make manual payments!!

  • Had a couple of days off from the insanity workouts as we were at the festival - I was on my feet all day but we did drink a little too much on the Friday evening :o

Guna get right back into it tonight when I finish work - I'll do the full week this week without any breaks!! Grrrrr!! :j

On 22 NSDs so far so that means I need to muddle through for the rest of July without spending and I'll be there! Only 3 days to go, not impossible!!! :rotfl:

Had two NSDs yesterday and today so just one more tomorrow and I'm on for 25 this month!! Yey!!!!

Can't believe it's nearly August. How is it the 8th year of the month already?! Aaaaargh!!

    Merry debt slating everybody :D

  • So I'm on the 4th day of 6 in this week's insanity. Feeling good! Actually feel less achy after each workout this week. Although that just means I groaning slightly less when I have to bend down it doesn't mean I'm skipping around light as a feather!

Reached my 25 NSD target for July!!! Cheated a little and sent BF for the small top up shop we needed yesterday. Went for August's first big shop
tonight, got a whole chicken to see us through 3 meals of the week - I've never actually cooked a whole chicken before!! Done turkeys but never chickens!

All in all everything is ticking over nicely. Can't complain.

  • Boom!! Insanity day 5 of week 2 done!! BF decided to cook his tea as I was doing it and the extra heat from the oven literally nearly knocked me out!!

It's been an NSD as well - first one for August!!

  • Rest day from insanity today, second fit test tomorrow so hopefully I'll have improved since my first one two weeks ago.

NSD today, going for it with the roast chicken this afternoon. Hopefully it'll all come out ok!! Starting the count down to pay day now, need to keep spending to an absolute minimum.

  • So I'm on a couple of NSDs for August, going to aim for another 25 this month and see how I do. No reason to spend today or for the rest of the week tbh so should be a nice run of them by the weekend. Here's hoping anyway!!

Week 3 of Insanity starts today, not lost any weight or anything but I've been reading lots of blogs and reviews and quite a few people said they didn't notice any changes until the second month. I guess you shouldn't expect miracles but just need to keep pushing on with it!!

Other than that nothing to report, waiting to see if my final DD has swapped over properly and then it'll be payday and hopefully everything that messed up in July will have been corrected this time around!!

  • Just completed day 3 of week 3 insanity. Been stiff today at work and I imagine I may be worse when I wake up tomorrow! Ah well, no pain no gain.

Spent nothing again today, on 5 NSDs for August so far (including today) so that's going ok. I can have 4 more spend days throughout the rest of the month, when you look at it that way it sounds nearly impossible!! Don't think there's any reason to spend this weekend as we're going to a food festival with BF's parents, hopefully I'll get away with it being an outing and therefore BF's responsibility for spends!! :D

  • Just got word from UU that they have refunded the cost of the leak we had a few months ok! Clearly my LL has a certain way with words and made them cave!! Yey!! That's £450 saved right there! Only annoying thing is they have left our monthly DD at £60 which is waaaay over what we actually use. I'll make sure they get monthly meter readings when I do the gas and electric ones so hopefully it should readjust fairly sharpish. Already £75 in credit after the refund so they have no excuse to be holding onto our money!
