Just swung by to update my signature as Hfax always update sunday night around this time - my fixed DD has flown out of my account and I couldn't resist adding it to my total paid on here! 57% of the way to £3K now. Not got much in the way of overpayments planned for July. Hopefully I'll get my £100 bonus from 1st Direct and the majority of that can wing its way across to the BC. Need to keep my monthly spends real low for the next couple of months and claw back some overpayments out of the monthly spending money I "allow" myself. Think there will be a bit of overtime this month so that could top things up but it won't be in my pay packet until August.

Cheap month required then, went food shopping today, spent £70 on lots of fresh fruit (weight watching) plus the freezer is now jam packed full. I should not need to go shopping apart from some fresh bits hopefully until the end of the month. Although that's quite a while away... We shall see how it goes!! It's time for another cut and colour in 3 weeks. It seems like yesterday I got it done last but my roots are telling a different story. The year is passing by so freaking quickly  I'd like to come in at about £200 general spends throughout July so game on and let's get with the NSDs again! I shall be aiming for a big fat 25. Never made that many as yet. This could be the month!!!

  • Paid £5 spare change into the bank today and sent it as an overpayment to the BC. Updated my signature accordingly obviously!! Not much else to report, on lock down now until July payday - working overtime this weekend so no excuses to go out and spend pennies.

Just contemplating going for a bike ride but it's really rather soggy outside. Been writing down everything I eat recently in a hope I start cutting out the crap in order to lose some chub! No noticeable change in weight as of yet but we'll see how it goes!!

  • Onto my3rd NSD of July. Not sure I have any real reason to spend any money this week tbh. We shall see how that pans out!!

Just waiting for BF to get back from work and then we're off out for a cycle/run. Looking like he'll be running and I'll be on my bike!

It's the long drag to payday now in terms of dept repayments and what have you. I'm still getting major pangs of wanting to buy things but just generally coming to terms with the fact I can't just go out and purchase whatever I want when I feel like it. Funny what 6 months of being a tight-a55 will do to you! Onwards and upwards!

  • So I've worked today, not nice when it's been gloriously sunshiney outside! At least it's extra pennies in the bank. Hadn't spent any money in July yet until today as I picked up something for tea. Fancied something nice and light and we didn't have any fresh stuff in. Look at me trying to make my spending ok! Hopefully I will get to the end of the month and come in under my £200 spending target :o Not much else to report. Still chubs.

  • Tired after work today, only 5 more days to go until I can have a lie in!! At least by working this weekend I can guarantee some pennies to overpay the BC come August payday. If I manage to keep my spending well below my £300 spending limit this month then August could prove a pretty healthy month for the debt slaying! I'm currently paying about £10 interest per month on my entire credit card debt so that's not actually too bad. Just a couple more months and it'll all be on 0% until April next year. Wonder if I can somehow clear the lot by then?? Will see how soon I clear off my 3k target I set myself to pay off this year....

NSD today, had 6 of them so far so that's a pretty healthy start on the way to the 25 I'm aiming for. Gosh life is boring at the moment, work, pay debts, stay in watching tv, sleep. Fingers crossed this weather lasts until Saturday when I'm off!!

  • Just got back for work, been sweltering hot all day but shouldn't complain about it! Forgot to say I'd started my Christmas shopping the other day!! There was a sale on and an item perfect for BF was reduced so it's on its way. Not counting it as monthly spending as I've taken it out of my big spends savings account. I've got my beady eye on a number of other items, just waiting for my Stuffster alerts to come through and let me know about all the price drops!!

Got some more OT planned for this Friday night which I'll get paid for on the night and then a turn up for the books with the festival we'd planned to go to at the end of July and just sold our tickets - managed to get free tickets plus come work behind the bar so we'll get paid for being there!! Whoop!! Happy with that. If the weather can just stay as it is it'll be totally lush!!!!!

Been another NSD, had a waiver this afternoon thinking about buying tea but had food in so managed to talk myself out of it. Yey to money saving!!!

  • Five days until pay day!!!

Did 8 miles on the bike last night, felt good and I slept like a log afterwards. May try something similar tonight. Although I don't like washing my hair every day, aahhh the excuses I come up with! Can't decide what to make for tea later, this weather is throwing me right off with wanting fresh stuff when my meal plans don't work that way!!

Just a couple more days to go and then I'm off for the whole weekend, woop!!!! And did I mention it's just 5 days til PAY DAY!!!

  • Oop 4 days until pay day!!!

NSD again today, doing ok with them so far. Absolutely knackered but only one day until the weekend! Got a bit of OT tomorrow night to get through first as well. Been a bit naughty and booked in to get my nails done Saturday morning, I've not had any treats for quite a while and I can use some of the money I get tomorrow night to pay for it so I'm not technically out of pocket! Excuses excuses :o

  • Woop pay day tomorrow!!

Had a nice chilled weekend, which has been relatively cheap - worked OT on Friday night, didn't earn tons but a nice little £30 is never going to be sniffed at! Had my nails done as a treat on Saturday morning, took it out of the extra earnings so technically I haven't spent anything! I'll put the remaining tenner from extra wages toward the BC.

Went to a BBQ at my mum and dads last night which was free food and drink! BF has gone to play cricket with his mates this afternoon - going to take myself out for a bike ride. Picked up a dine in for £10 meal for tonight whilst in town yesterday.

Looks like most of my DDs and SOs have already been swapped to my new 1st Direct account, hoping there aren't any mishaps as they all go out quite soon after payday. Fingers crossed I get my £100 switching bonus pretty sharpish!!

  • PAY DAY WOOOOOOOOOO!! :j :j :j

First payment gone into my 1st Direct account with no big worries, looks like the majority of my DDs have already sorted themselves out too. My car insurance seems to be lagging behind but thinking about it, I may have already paid the last installment as it is due next month... Hmmm... will have to have a look. I'm going to pay the new year's insurance in one hit this time and BT it to my BC, it'll be interest free until April and I'll just add enough pennies to clear it in that time to my fixed DD. Paying a BT transfer fee is much cheaper than the interest they hit you with if you pay insurance monthly!

I'm hoping I get my switching bonus soon and that will be some extra toward the BC!! Still can't get my head around the fact it is mid-July already. It's freaking terrifying!!
