A very boring day at work today. But it was an NSD so that's all good! Making a sausage casserole which will feed us today and at least tomorrow. May be able to freeze a couple of portions too as I padded it out with beans and potatoes. Cooking for a group of friends on Thursday night, I used to do it all the time but we've all drifted somewhat and got settled in our own lives. I used to feed everyone out of my own pocket (the root of some of the debt right there) but this time I've manned up and asked for a fiver from everyone. Means all my costs are covered so only fair. Giving my bread maker a whirl again to make a cheese and onion loaf with two lasagnes and some fresh salad. Can't decide what to do for dessert though..Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Hmmm my mobile phone bill was meant to go out yesterday but it hasn't gone from either my old account or new. The mobile phone company seem to think they've got payment but they clearly haven't!! I shall have to ring them again and insist they take some money!!
On a plus note I found a fiver on the floor. Woop!!
Got my list for shopping tonight so it won't be an NSD but I'm on 14 so far!!!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Paid my bill manually. 1st Direct seem to think everything is fine their end but O2 said the DD had been declined yesterday. Paid it over the phone for now and hopefully it'll sort itself out next month. Maybe the switch over day was the day they make the DD requests so it all just got confused! The last assured me it wouldn't go down as a late payment or anything so that's good!
Can't believe it so sunny still, fingers crossed it lasts for a bit longer yet!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Just came home early - really struggled concentrating in the heat so skipped off, it's not like I was doing anything constructive anyway!!
Had another problem with one of my DDs, Santander seem to set up a new DD every month so it hasn't swapped to 1st Direct so they have requested the money from Halifax and there's enough money in there but no money has gone out of the account? Very weird. Been on the phone to Santander twice and they say there's no problem with the payment that they can see and I need to wait for 19 days to give the payment chance to allocate. Never taken that long before and apparently I have to wait until the account is in arrears until I can pay extra. Think I may go into branch tomorrow and push them a bit more. No way do I want a late payment marker!
Had a few friends over for tea last night, got leftovers to eat tonight! Haven't had everyone together for a while so it was nice. Fear I may have gone slightly over my food budget which will push me over my £200 spending target :eek:Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

So had my hair done yesterday, was the usual £55 plus tip. Think I have gone over my £200 budget this month though
bad planning on my part.
Started the insanity workouts today, it's a 60 day programme and you're meant to get really good results. We shall see how that goes!
Car insurance is due next month so found the cheapest one today and paid it out right. BT'd the amount to my BC so it's interest free until April next year. Added the amount to clear it in that time to my monthly fixed DD. hopefully I'll clear the whole lot before April though. Fingers crossed!!
Everything is very boring otherwise, plodding along trying to keep my head down and pay my debts!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Hi Debt Free, just read your diary and think you're doing really well, I'm impressed with your NSD totals! I'm in a similar boat, 26, trying to get everything under control before changing jobs/counties in sept! I'm also trying to shift a stone that has crept back on this year, have you tried the website MyFitnessPal, it really helped me last year!
Anyway, just wanted to stop by and say hi!

Thanks for popping by, been chatting away to myself for a little while!! The NSDs targets have really helped me curb my spending - fingers crossed this is the month I make 25!! Changing jobs as well as countries sounds pretty exciting - I just aiming for a house of my own and a puppy :rotfl:
I think I have the FitnessPal or something similar app on my phone, I shall have a look into it though thank you. Saying that I'm pretty stiff from the Insanity fitness test I did yesterday and I have the first 40 minute cardio session waiting for me when I get home. Bit scared cos I was sweating buckets yesterday and that was only 25 minutes worth!!
Do you have a diary? I shall have to have a sneak peek when I'm not at work

Just popped on to update my signature - got to 17 NSDs so far, so close to my 25 target!! I have 10 days left (including today) of which 8 need to be NSDs. Thankfully today will be one so I stand a good chance of getting there!!!
Had to ring Santander AGAIN (only the third time since they didn't take any money last week) literally had to ask them if I could pay them my installment! Last week I got told twice i had to wait, thankfully the girl I spoke to today understood why I didn't fancy waiting until I was in arrears! Only 8 months to go now :j Mentioned about it not being reported as a late payment but she didn't know whether it would be put down as one or not - suppose it depends what dates they report to the CRAs. She did say she'll put a note on my file and if it goes down as a late one I can call them back and have it removed. Fingers crossed there are no problems.
Hopefully all my other direct debits will go out, it has been a bit of a pain the last few days with watching and having to call up and make manual payments - especially when most of the companies have refused payment on the day the bill is due as they can't see the payment as failed yet :wall:
Anyhoo at least I could update my signature for my loan payment and also my NW CC minimum payment went out too. Hoping August is a good month for overpayments!!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Aaaaah just done my first insanity workout!!! It was hard and I can feel the burn already! It's a hard schedule, 6 days on with only 1 day off a week. Meant to get amazing results so gotta stick with it!! Not sure how I'll feel tomorrow when I have to drag my !!! out of bed to go to work!
I can clock an NSD as well. Only 7 more needed...Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Insanity workout 2 complete! Been a bit stiff at work today but I survived! It's a quieter session tomorrow with lots of stretching etc so looking forward to that!
Heading to Penrith for the weekend and working a couple of days at a festival we'd sold our tickets for. By working we get a free ticket so that's a good way of getting round the spending money bit! BF is being completely mardy about the weather though. He's suddenly decided he doesn't like camping. Told him to man the eff up and quit complaining!
Another NSD to add to my list. Not doing too bad with them but may miss the target as I'm guna have to get some festival supplies tomorrow. Hmmmm will have a think about how I might try round that! At least whatever I spend over the weekend I will get the money back from the wages we will earn! Good deal!
