Just clocking in yesterday as another NSD, I'm on 6 so far this month so not too shabby, no reason why today and tomorrow can't be NSDs as well. Apart from the fact I have this burning desire to buy some new trainers, aaaargh!!! I've been looking at them almost daily but just about managing to tear myself away from them. I think it's because I've finally kicked my !!! into gear and am doing this Insanity training schedule and I'm thinking I need some new gear to help me do it... or something just as illogical as that! Technically I have loads of sports gear but I could do with a couple of sports bras and my trainers have seen better days (they have seen me through a marathon and a couple of half marathons too so they have served me well) but at the same time I can get by without so I am just trying to keep that mind set! I may see if I can save enough pennies out of my monthly spends budget to buy some at the end of the month. If I still want them then I can consider getting them.
Besides, I can't waste one of the 4 days I'm allowed to spend for the rest of August just flippantly purchasing trainers! Must. Stay. Strong!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Just got back from a local food festival - BF bought a couple of treats but nothing too crazy. His mum & dad were there and they treated us to a few bits which we wouldn't have bought ourselves so that was nice! He's gone out to watch the football with his mates now so I'm sat watching tv thinking I really should do my insanity workout but instead I'm just daydreaming of the fancy chocolate bar that made its way back with us today. Mmmmm

Just checked my 1st Direct online banking and they've added my £100 switching bonus today!!
Popped £60 overpayment to the BC and left £40 in my account to cover the difference between my old £300 interest free overdraft and my new £250 interest free one. Hoping there will be a fair bit more overpayments this month!!
Managed to haul my backside into gear and complete my 6th insanity workout for the week. It was hard but not as bad as I thought once I got started. Reading people's blogs about the 2nd month, it's guna get reeeaaal hard!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Ok so it's been a spend day today but I planned ahead and got everything I need for the next week at least. Just got back from a nice walk and now I'm making tea. Day off from insanity and I've kind of missed not having a workout session to do! I'm sure come day 5&6 of next week I'll be moaning at how hard it is!!
Payday on Thursday!! Only a couple more days to go!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Ok so wages go in on Thursday, got an extra £70 in this month's wage packet from overtime - after they take extra tax, NI and student loan payments from you the extra hours hardly seem worth it! Still it's an extra £70 I wouldn't have had before so I should quit complaining! Means I can tick a couple of boxes off on my 100% grid at least. Getting pretty close to my 3K target now!! By my reckoning I should be hitting 74-75% paid off after August's payday which means I'm one month ahead of schedule to hit my target. Need to shave my DFD right down. My loan finishes in April 2014 which is also when my 0% interest periods finish so I need to hammer the totals between now and then and get everything done and dusted quick sharp! Ahhhh what a nice feeling it will be to have money, although it will be brief as I need to carry on living on a tight budget so I can save save save like mad for a house deposit!!! May allow myself a couple of months freedom to take BF on a treat holiday though :cool:Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Been in a foul mood today, woke up at 6.21am when my alarm went off and just thought "oh great, I have to get up and go to work AGAIN. Day in day out, it's just a boring slog" Didn't help that my entire morning was just filled with people making things difficult! Meh. Just one of those days I think. At least it's nearly over!!
Boomed out my insanity workout when I got in. Really hope I start seeing some chub drop off soon!!
Had a couple of NSDs so far this week, need to update my signature, looking forward to some more movements on the debts come payday!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Just swung by to update my signature as my nationwide DD has sneaked out the day before pay day, hopefully one days worth of interest won't be too excessive! Come on payday!!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Insanity done. BF making tea (while I instruct him) done!
Overpayments for August are totalling up pretty fast! My wages for the work I did the other weekend at that festival are sorted so that's a nice fat £120 which I can add to a £20 unexpected bonus from work. That's £140 on top of the £75 overtime due tomorrow in my pay packet as well as the £60 from my switching bonus I sent over the other day. By my reckoning that comes in at an overpayment of £275!! Happy with that. Just need to make sure I send it all over as soon as I get paid so I don't get tempted to buy the pretty pink top I just happened upon whilst walking through town today!! I've stayed away from shopping recently but I couldn't help a quick peak in the shop that is top. On a positive note at least I managed to walk out with nothing!!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

PAY DAY!!!!! :j :j :j :j
Sent £95 to the BC and will send the rest when I get my paws on it tomorrow. Hoping all my DDs have settled and sorted themselves out this month. Picked up a bit of extra work this weekend helping out a friend so I'm guna be naughty and buy that pink shirt I saw yesterday. But it's with money I wouldn't have had so doesn't count!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000
