Hey shell - forget about it - its her problem not yours - you are the good friend - sadly not everyone thinks like what we do !!!!
Wilf - dont forget that men tend to be from a different species - they don't see the mess usually! Nagging wont work but if you ask him if he'd do you a favour and then praise the hell out of him when he does it saying it saves you so much time in a day - then you'd be surprised how much you will find he will change!! I'm a dog trainer and OH don't realise yet I am clicker training him - without the clicker of course LOL - works a treat .... works on kids too!!!!
OK - so I did the Dyson Dance on carpets and furnishings, and spot cleaned where the OH drips coffee, and mopped the kitchen then left it to dry while i went to the post office. Finished polishing stuff when I got back so just the ironing to do now!0 -
yep photo please see if it beats my pile!!
boston would have said thanks but got no thanks button might try my oh half with a whip and a stick instead of the clicker!!
he needs it!!!!Save 12k in 2015 member 187. £62.50/60000 -
Hugs to you shell, not a nice situation at all.
Well iron mountain is slowly disappearing! Could almost be described as a hill now lol. Need a good general tidy up before tonight, mum and dad babysitting while I go on a girls night out with my best friend and some other friends of hers. I feel a bit daunted by it as I find it hard to mix and enjoy these occasions since DH died last year.
Hey ho better get on or it will be time to pick DD up, she has her SAT test in maths today, sure she will do well, but don't want her to stress even if I do on her behalf!
Hugs for lil_me as well
Catch you later

Well, I'm making a bit more progress on the FlyLady front. I've got a combined living/dining area so am sticking with Level 1 today - anything else is way too tough at the moment. Have cleared up all of the clutter in the living area and started to clear the ENORMOUS pile of c**p on the dining table. Need to finish off the dining table this afternoon, including filing all papers in the proper place for a change! Also need to put luggage currently in hall up in the loft. BTW, I'm not being rude to everyone by not thanking you all - I can't get the thanks buttons to work at the moment (along with everything else). I've had a look at the WYSIWYG option and that's turned on so I can't figure out what the problem is. Annoyingly I used to post on here regularly and had no problems. Now I've come back and I can't get it to work at all even though I've not changed anything. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.0

The kids are off school this week here in holland, and the sun is shining bright and warm.
I'm only doing swish and swipe through the house this week.
this morning I hung out another load of washing as we just had a drain blockage fixed yesterday. (I'll tell you the story if you want.. it's hilarious..)
I did a quick tidy of the high traffic area's and then set off with the 4 youngest kids to the swimming pool.
Just got in now, to put the little one to bed. The older three girls (ages 14, 11 and 8) are still at the pool. They met up with heaps of friends and didn't want to come home, so I decided they could stay. They can come home by themselves later on.
DS is off to town with his mates, so it's lovely and quiet in the house now!
WHOOOHOOO!!!
I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts!

I wouldn't let myself turn the computer on until I'd done everything!
Glorious day here again, load of washing dry and put away already.
Done nearly nearly level 3 today. Didn't clean all of window, just cleaned off the cat snot which I have to do most days. I can't reach without standing on something and I don't do that if I can help it.
My poor dog was most put out. She hates the vacuum anyway but when I pulled all the furniture out and then vacuumed underneath and over the chairs she was not amused0 -

Well I'm slowly making progress. I'm feeling really lazy today but I can't be if I want to get all this stuff listed on ebay  Might have something to do with the full 100g bar of chocolate I've just eaten
I'm not in the best of moods with OH and we really need to sit down and sort alot of things out, I feel like I'm :wall: when it comes to us. On the 14th it will be 8 years since we started going out and at the minute it feels like we've been married for about 800  Good thing thats come out of todays mood though is that I'm having a major clutter purge...never mind 27 items I've got a pile full see :
I'm just about to tackle the kitchen. I'm sure we don't use or need half of what we have  I've had enough of having to stuff cupboards or drawers shut due to the amount of stuff in them. Time for war!!!!!
Anyways, my list for today :- Dailies
- [strike]Beds[/strike] - Stripped just need remaking once the bedding is dried again
- [strike]Bathroom S&S[/strike]
- [strike]Dishes [/strike]
- [strike]Kitchen S&S[/strike] I even hoovered & mopped the floor :eek::D:j
- WM - Load 2 has just finished, 2 more to go.
- WATER GARDEN - This evenings job when it's all in the shade.
- Uniforms for tomorrow
- Evening Meal - no idea. Has to be something reasonably simple as OH is going out to a friends house after work to get him to have a look at our car
- Ironing
- Ebay listings of my stuff, still need to go through the other things with OH
- Make beds up again.
All the windows are open and a breeze is blowing through. Right, should really go and swap this washing over so I can get the bedding in  Later
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 - Dailies

Our house is pretty old, and so are all the drains. All the water from the kitchen and the shed comes out into a drain in the shed. Washing machine and diswasher the like.
This then runs down a pipe underneath the house out to the front where it connects to the main sewage pipes.
This pipe has a habit of getting blocked, which makes all the water back up into the shed. (not fuN!)
So yesterday we had the problem again. We called in the anti-block squad and this nice young man shows up on my doorstep with a big long high pressure hose.
Going into the pipe at the front of the house (underneath the floor by the front door) he told me to have a look in the shed (back of the house) and shout when i heard the water gurgle. So I'm standing there, looking into this drain pit where I had only just scooped out a load of gunk not an hour earlier.
DD (aged 11) comes in. "I need a pee..."
me: "Sorry, not now... (floor boards in front of loo are ripped up!! there's no reaching it!) Go see if you can use the neighbours'.
It took a lot of humming an such but no luck...
Sooo nice young man decides to use my water supply to give it more pressure. "Have a look," he said, "and tell me when you hear the water running, I'll give it an extra good poke.."
DD (aged 8) comes in... "I'm hungry..."
me: "NOT NOW!!!"
I'm looking down the drain again...
I hear this: 'gurgle gurgle' noise so I'm fixing to lean back and tell him I'm hearing it, when there is suddenly this really loud: "GUSHHH!!! SPLASH!!"
(picture HUGE splotch of gunky water bursting up through the drain, and out into my shed where I had my pretty little self just a moment earlier)
You've never seen me jump so high and so fast in all your life I'll tell you!!!
I'm holloring: "WHOAAAAHHH!!!!"
Nice young man is laughing his pants off at the other side of the house..
"I take it that worked then?" he shouts at me...
I'm shaking in my slippers, looking at the gunge dripping down from my shed wall, realizing it could have been me looking like that....
DD (aged 14 comes to see me...) "Can we have some sweets??"
me: "For &%## sake!! CAN'T YOU SEE i'M BUSY!!!!!"
sigh
oh well..
I can run the water again.. that's the main thing.
It is an absolute nightmare when you have 5 kids and can't do any washing!!!

Thanks Dusty
it's great to know that there is always a friendly face on here.
I think DD is KS1, she is a Y2 and very bright, enjoys school. She had me practising sums last night! I love her inquisitive nature and her desire to learn.
We are going to a new Indian resturant tonight, within walking/staggering distancealthough I shan't have too much to drink as it's the dreaded w**k in the morning.
Right lunch break over, better see if DS (4 yo) has finished 'washing' the plastic for recycling! Back to iron mountain.....
Oh and Maralum have youyet?!
