Today I have:
played Taxi for my son's baseball team to drive them to their game.
I sat in the sun watching the game, and watched DS hit a home run! YEAAAAA!!!!!
came home well into the afternoon. Helped DH cook dinner.. helped clean up after dinner. Ironed half of the HUGE pile that was waiting.. folded up all the clothes that had been washed over this weekend.
Sent DD3 to go take a shower...
Ran upstairs after hearing a piercing howl...
She (8 yrs old) slipped on the bathroom floor.. hit her mouth on the floor.. and broke her front tooth off... (yes again!!! second time in two months!)
Comforted the child.. had a good look.. nothing to do for the moment but keep child calm, and call dentist tomorrow.. (again..) She broke a good chip off, but there seems no other damage. X-ray's will show more tomorrow I'm guessing.
Enjoy your sunday night everybody.. I'm fixing me a cup of coffee.

Thank you to everybody who has shared my first week with me. I cannot believe how much I have achieved. The family are even getting used to me saying don't put that there, put it away. DH even washed up straight after dinner instead of leaving it until midnight. Off to have a bowl of crumble and finish the ironing. See you all next week Dusty xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Probably last post on this thread so will explain. When we got our cat at 6 weeks she looked like a black cat who had gone under a cupboard and come out covered in dust - you might be able to see it in the picture, hence we called her dusty. It was only kitten fur and she is now jet black - unless she goes under something and comes out dusty! Of course my house will be so sparkling clean from now on she will never be dusty again:rotfl:The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hello to all!
Just a little post to let you know that we're all fine! Better than fine actually - I couldn't have hoped for this all to have gone so well :j . Owen is still my little helper (he's had LOTS of presents, so thinks that a baby girl is a great thing to have), DH is an absolutely stormer of a dad as well as doing pretty much ANYTHING I ask him to and there's not a hint of baby blues in the air!
I've been taking it easy, so I feel really well. My body's still tired, swollen and stretched, but I'm surprisingly chipper. My poor little legs have now become massive cankles, but I'm drinking plenty of fluids, keeping my feet up and DH keeps massaging them for me, so I think they'll be better soon.
Freya is lovely. She has a very calm outlook and just loves feeding and sleeping, so we have plenty in common already :rotfl: . I haven't done much in the house, although I did put some washing through and S and S the bathroom (can't have skids when we've got visitors coming  ). Don't worry, I really am taking it easy.
MIL and FIL are doing all of our fetching and carrying for us (emergency wet wipes etc - I forgot how tenacious meconium is, the tar on the carpets was easier to clean!). My mum and dad are coming back today, she's cooking a chicken roast. When she left on saturday, she left a luscious sausage casserole in the SC, so I haven't had t worry about cooking. Naughty maralum had domino's pizza last night, paid for by our maid of honour and best man (who are now engaged thanks to me! Not at all modest about this one - I'm thrilled to be able to say that I introduced them.), so I haven't had to cook at all. MIL and FIL stocked our fridge with tesco finest ready meals - apparently, after we called to tell them that I was in labour, they were too excited to sleep, so they went to tesco at 3 am! :rotfl:
Wow, what an essay! Sorry, I'm just so happy and want to share it with you. I'll be posting pics of Freya on the new thread, that way, everyone who only has work access to a computer will still get to see her. I warn you though, she looks like a turtle! No chin, skinny lips and a wee scrawny neck. A pretty darn adorably kissable turtle when all's said and done.
Right, Owen's up and deserves some serious cuddling, so I'm off to tell him that I think he's fabulous. Take care all. Thanks again for your posts and encouragement - the same thing happened to me first time shell, but this time I have a different man and I'm different too, no PND for one thing! I'm making sure that I enjoy every moment of this. I know I said no more kids, but...0 -
