Two loads of washing done, including throws from living room. The sun has finally come out now, it was very gloomy until about midday.

Done some sorting out of stuff in the loft, nothing to be thrown away (we did all that last year) but things needed to be put back in the right places.

Need to go to bank this afternoon and Argos but we'll wait until mid afternoon when it's normally a bit quieter.

Exceptionally late start as DGD spent morning with me. She like to nap for a couple of hours in granny's bed with granny next to her ... so what could I do? I just had to get into bed and read a book whilst she slept. Still in my PJs.

But now she's gone off with her mum so I need to do all the decluttering jobs from last week. Have made some bread, and the towels are out on the line so not totally a lazy morning.

But WOW to the long lists that you all seem to have. Do you ever sleep?

Tomorrow's job is to look for a slow cooker. I think from reading all the threads that I'll get the 6.5 litre MR one. Only two of us but I do like to cook for the freezer so I guess that's the one to go for. Am I right?:confused:

Well sat here at work. No flying done by me this morning but house was tidy from yesterday.

Left instructions for DH to put the stuff in the BM as pizza for tea. Kitchen will need a good S & S after girls have made their own.

Do have a full basket of ironing to do plus our bedding needs washing but forecast was not good for today so didnt bother.

Right gonna make a coffee and browes some threads, looks like a quiet afternoon at work so will catch up with some reading.

after an unexpected horribly busy week (kids off from school, extra time at work etc) I finally managed to get my but in gear today.

Washing load nr 3 is out on the line, and right now my bedding is in the machine getting lovely and clean and fresh again.

The shopping is done, the living room is tidy (well sort of) and the kitchen is clean. The sun is shining with a passion here in Holland as well!

I'm starting to get my spirit back now, after feeling quite depressed for the last few months. I'm even picking up my writing again, which I haven't done for ages due to lack of inspiration and the 'feel-good' mood I need to get constructive. Only trouble is, now that's all I want to do! I can't be bothered with sitting outside in the sun. I just want to write! :D
And do my scrapbooking and all!

Oh well, can't have it all.

Have a good weekend you all!

    Hi all

Did very little flying yesterday as I went to IKEA to get some storage ideas to sort out DS3's tiny room. I got some great long box things to go on his wall to put his books in. OH has put them up and we have taken everything out of the room except furntiure so I can give it a good clean and declutter after a nice cup of tea.

Feel confident his room will be done today, and living room tomorrow just leaving one bedroom untouched this week. I am sure next week things will be easier?

    Hello ladies!

I have read all of your lovely posts, so thankyou very much. I'm afraid my brain is a wee bit frazzled, so I can't remember each lovely comment, but I promise you, they were all very appreciated. :j

Owen's being an angel, running, fetching things and generally being a fabulous big brother! :D DH is totally out of it, god bless him. I think the stress, excitement and sleep deprivation have left hima little worse for wear. Poor chap laughed until he cried earlier, because he heard the words "Take it up the circle line". Go figure. Child.

I'm very well! Happy as larry and absurdly proud of myself. :rotfl: People have been ringing and visiting all day, so it's a good job I did all of that flying before she arrived. ;) More folks arriving soon and I still have to feed her, so I shall run off now and get a move on. Thanks again everyone. It's lovely coming here and feeling like I'm among friends.

Take care all, enjoy your flying, weddings and gardening. I'll enjoy my little ones and husband for a while. :j

Awww maralum everything sounds great, bless little Owen for being an angel and helping, get the visitors to do any things you need doing, I've always believed when visiting family and friends with new babies that the best thing I can do is offer to make them a cuppa, not the other way round.

Dustykitten, I am sure next week will be so much easier, especially having the storage solutions you need to make that room easier.

grannynise I have the 6.5 MR one, and I love it. I only usually cook meals in there for 2 unless it's a roast etc. Things like chilli, stew, bolognese etc etc are cooked in there as a bulk cook then freeze for another day. Suits me perfect, there is always something 'made' in the freezer now that I can just get it out and reheat for a quick and easy dinner.

I want some storage things myself, those basket ones for the kitchen, but everywhere seems sooo expensive for those.

Anyway, not done much have I, ended up having to add sorting pond out as I forgot, which took ages, good hour or so inc cleaning loads of green yak!, then the gardening, spent an hour at the farm shop as I was talking to the guy who runs the lake, from next Sunday my DS1 who is obsessed with fish etc is starting to go fishing with the juniors club, I have explained his Autism but the staff are more than willing to see how it goes with him. He's grinning like this >>:D just at the thought of it. I've never seen him so happy in ages, he's been wanting to go fishing for a long time just me and DP haven't a clue!

Anyway, going to start on the upstairs in a mo, seriously need a clear out, went through 4 pairs of trousers before we found one that fit DS1 the other day, so going to pass the ones that are too little to my nephew(6 year old DS is bigger than 8 year old so pass the other way!)
