Hello ladies!
maralum Bless little Owen for helping, any chance of a wee pic? I'd love to see her, whenever you're ready though no pressureIt's super tiring getting visitors I always liked the ones that were 'useful' made the tea, did some washing etc
Had a super relaxing day, just gone at my own pace, pottered a bit, hooverd then decided to watch the rest of 'The Break-Up' which made me cry:rolleyes: went and visited OH, then came back and sorted all the washing into piles on the kitchen floor and stuck one in, I really don't know where it all comes from, I'm sure next door's sticking theirs in on the sly or summat. Picking teenie up from work in an hour or so and may have a wander round Asda on the way back, then it's Most Haunted night tonight (yay) so snacks and candles are at the ready, it better be good
Laters super-duper lovelies x0 -
 I'm still sat here, ok have cleared the table and wiped it but thats all, anyone got big shoes on today, think I need a kick, I'm just wasting time doing naff all again
been on here an hour on and off in between just mooching about basically getting nothing done
One day I might be more organised...........

lil-me you sound like you have done alot today considering it is Saturday. I am finding it hard to stop with the flying as you start to feel you should be doing something. So glad about your son and fishing, I hope he enjoys it.
DS3's room is done and books look great in the boxes and have cleared the floor space a bit so next week the hoovering should be better. Also removed a few toys he no longer wants and some mobiles fromt he ceiling.
Started on the living room but it is proving to me a major task. We have the room divided in two by a sofa - one end for sitting with the fireplace and tv and the other behind the sofa for DS3 to play - that is the problem end.
I have hoovered the sitting end, done sofas etc just need to dust. Started to sort out toys but both me and DS3 ended up in tears. You can't move for toys he creates lego models, lines up cars etc and does not want any of it moved but it is covered in dust and the hoover has not seen the carpet there in weeks. I feel frustrated by it and he got cross that I started to move it all so have left that end until tomorrow.
Also did a big food shop today so we had chicken casserole for dinner which was lovely and we have roast lamb as a treat for tomorrow.
Have a lovely evening all, I can't decide what to do - don't want to fly anymore but don't feel in the mood for much else - not keen on tv.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hello ladies!
I have read all of your lovely posts, so thankyou very much. I'm afraid my brain is a wee bit frazzled, so I can't remember each lovely comment, but I promise you, they were all very appreciated. :j
Owen's being an angel, running, fetching things and generally being a fabulous big brother!DH is totally out of it, god bless him. I think the stress, excitement and sleep deprivation have left hima little worse for wear. Poor chap laughed until he cried earlier, because he heard the words "Take it up the circle line". Go figure. Child.
I'm very well! Happy as larry and absurdly proud of myself. :rotfl: People have been ringing and visiting all day, so it's a good job I did all of that flying before she arrived.More folks arriving soon and I still have to feed her, so I shall run off now and get a move on. Thanks again everyone. It's lovely coming here and feeling like I'm among friends.
Take care all, enjoy your flying, weddings and gardening. I'll enjoy my little ones and husband for a while. :j
Congratulation Maralum with the birth of little Freya!! You should be proud of yourself!!! I just love little babies and get sooooo broodybut I am too old now and I have had 2 little baby girls, so cute all that pink...TAke it easy and if you get all these visitors and they ask if there is anything they can do, give them something to do, put washing on, hang it out, hoover, anything. After all they are offering and you get to rest and spend time with Owen and Freya...
Did some catching up today. 3 loads of washing
living room and kitchen tidy, swish and swipe bathroom, taxi service for DD2, made pizza from scratch, just dishes to do and watch tv with family....
Have a great weekend everyone :wave:0 -
:A Congratulations Maralum and welcome to Freya :A
I'm glad you are all doing well and enjoying your time together. Owen is obviously going to be a wonderful big brother.
I have done no flying this week despite my determined attitude at the end of last weekI just had a really up and down week one minute fine the next fed up and no energy. Ah well I'm better now but still no flying as we're in the middle of finishing the lounge this weekend so as soon as I tidy or suggest a quick hover DH gives me that look :rotfl:
Glad everyone else is doing well and I'll keep popping in over the weekend to catch up with everyone.MFiT Member No 85

Well DH did put the ingredients in the BM for the pizza dough. He had added the water, yeast, oil and oh yeah my chocolate cookie mix!!! What a div - lol. 4 year old was impressed with the thought of chocolate pizza - 2 year old thought it sounded ok.
I have those plastic storage units and in one is a white/wholemeal flour mix, in the next is porridge oats and in the third is the cookie premix. "I thought it smelt a bit chocolatey" says he!!
Still we all had a good laugh about it. My gosh if I had to go off for a couple of days what would my poor littles end up eating.0 -
Evening All! Lovely to read you all are having good days and so pleased you are doing Maralum. DH came home from work early again yesterday as his last client meeting cancelled last minute so chilled out with him for a bit and then forced myself to do my list whilst he had baby but got tiles cleaned in bathrooms and all those little jobs that had been hanging around. Have had a lovely day today, been shopping and then visiting the inlaws, have done the dallies that really needed doing (baby bottles, etc) and left the rest.
Lil_me - sorry would offer you a kick but need one myself, you know what? We work hard all week looking after everyone else, I think you deserve to relax about and mooch about if you want! Its Saturday night
Michelle - yep been to Meadowhall today or Murderhall as DH calls it:rolleyes: It was packed, struggled getting a seat in the Oasis but had a hungery baby letting everyone know he wanted his dinner so soon got a seat;) Had to go because I wanted to get Sams christening outfit from that shop in the lanes - think you got Charlies outfit from there. Would love to meet up with you, I'm only about 30 mins from there.
Brought Sam a beautiful set of christening robes and shoes, etc so am pleased thats something else done, just waiting for the hat to come in. Am really pleased with them but they look so big and my little boys growing up - see all this baby talk....:rolleyes:Have also treated myself to a very pretty dress from Coast for me to wear and some nice shoes to match, DH treated me which was lovely of him so we'll ignore the cost lol. But will be able to wear it to the christening and a couple of weddings as they'll all be will different people so will get my wear out it. Only thing is thought I looked pale in it so have had a sunbed (1st one for about 2 years) and stupidly feel a bit 'warm' now :wall: I'm blond so quite fair all over so should know better.
Anyway, DH is cooking me steak for tea and we are going to snuggle up watching a movie soon now babys in bed, hes even just delivered me a glass of wine...wonder what hes after? Hope you have lovely evenings and enjoy your Sunday xxLightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!
Baby on board!:D0 -
Lots of people chilling out this evening and I'm just about to join them.
Had a nice day today.
Went to an animal charity's bazaar this morning and bought myself a couple of new reading books and donated the one I finished reading on the bus on the way there to the same stall holder I bought from. Also bought an old cookbook called Bread and Soup for 10p which unsurprisingly contains recipes for Breads and Soups(!), but there are also a few muffin and cakes ones. Made a batch of bran muffins as the recipe was dead easy and I had some bran flakes which needed to be used up.
School tops washed and airing upstairs as they didn't quite dry outside.
Our laundry baskets are fabric type ones that hang from wooden frames and they were looking a bit grubby so I washed both of those today too.
Cooked tuna and sweetcorn burgers for tea which both DH and DS wolfed down so they'll be a regular on the meal plan now.
Asked DH to water the plants in the garden as I've had enough for today!
Happy chilling out, see you all tomorrow....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

shell, sorry but I couldn't stop laughing, my DP put bicarb in his coffee the other week, great big label on it saying bicarb, but on the other side to where he looked. He said it looked like sugar, icing sugar maybe. I laughed so much I cried :rotfl:
tracyg enjoy being spoilt, but be on your guard just incase he is after something :rotfl:
tinselfairy it's always a good sign when you can wash the laundry basket I think, means it's empty
Well thats DS1s wardrobes and drawers sorted, he still has too many tshirts but he does go thorugh a lot of clothes during the day, will just have to resist buying any more. I'm a nightmare for buying kids clothes, have been since they were babies, not just my own, but neice, nephew, friends kids etc. They both have over 20 school tops each aswell so not buying any more! Amazing what you find when you put it all in one place instead of ironing pile, washing pile, can't be bothered to put away piles etc. All dry laundry away, linen box sorted, landing cleared, stair gate back on etc
Kids bathed while I was doing that, I have set away anti virus stuff on their PCs, cleaned computer room window, watered seedlings (which decorate most window ledges upstairs at the minute)
As for the it's Saturday, I know, but it's stuff I have noticed while going along this week that needs doing, not urgent really but would like to at least get some done, rest will roll over to next weekend.
What I must do tonight is study, as soon as the boys settle to sleep, which I hope is soon but they are up and down the stairs like yoyos! I will make a start. TMA is due by Wednesday, DP has said he'll drive up there that day (25 ish miles away) and drop them off then take me for dinner so I shall also be on my guard as he might be after something aswell :rotfl:One day I might be more organised...........
