just added my first ever post and noticed it says ive never posted any thanks but i always do. must be doing something wrong. sorry everyone:j:o

Where it says "thanked 0 times in 0 posts" it doesn't mean you haven't thanked anyone, it means nobody's thanked you - yet!
The thanks you give out are not displayed on your sidebar. So don't worry, we don't think you're ungrateful or anything!!!! xx

OMG I can remember when you won that lounger EDC, hehehe. I had to re-google it to remind myself what it was haha.

I don't think I've had any wins that I haven't been able to find homes for, or that I haven't really wanted. Personally I only enter for things that I'd really like to win for myself or my family, don't even think I've had a runners up prize that I haven't wanted or found a home for x

    SIMPLY BE-££577.11:eek:
    Very BNPL - £353.00:o
  • I entered a comp once that had about 80 prizes - various items including perfume, t-shirts, and the like. I recieved an email to say I'd won and was really excited.

About a week later they emailed me again to say my prize, a Louisianna Lounger, was being shipped from Germany.

    GOOGLE Images it!!!

Couldn't give it to the school for their raffle *(although someone did suggest setting it up in the Head's office and charging 50p a go but we decided no-one would get a look in once the Head saw it ;) ), couldn't give it to the charity shop, tried Ebay but it was taken off. Eventually hubby took it to a certain shop in town and they bought it from us.

It did give everyone a good laugh and is still talked about in the staff room at work every so often some 5 or 6 years later :D

    I see why lol
Big thanks you to everyone who posts comps...
Really wanna win an ITV comp... Maybe this will be the year!

Another lol at the lounger. Imagine having that in your spare bedroom when guests arrive!!

I once nominated my mum for a comp hoping to win her the main prize of 2k. Anyway, got a runners up prize of a Nikon SLR camera which was worth around £300. As my mum has no computer or the slightest interest in a camera, hubby's eyes were on stalks so we kept the camera and gave my mum the money.

So now this prize has cost me £300 but it doesn't end there. Hubby has bought about 3 different lenses, bags etc and has probably spent around £700 on accessories

Still we have had a lot of pleasure from this camera (absolutely nothing to do with loungers I may add) and some brilliant photographs, plus the pleasure of giving my mum the much needed money

Umm, you should really put #NSFW for that lounger! :D Frantically tried to close my laptop/monitor combo down! Teaches me for having split screens :D

I won VIP tickets to Creamfields, and have just copied over what I put on another post a while back:

Elsbells, can I ask why it was such a disaster? I hope you avoid disaster wins next year!

The competition was just as described and a great win, it was Creamfields itself that was a disaster - tiny area, hardly any shops or stalls, fixed drinks (bud and something else :(), only silet discos on the first night and none of the headphones worked, full of teenagers who were throwing up by 2pm and got constantly searched by security. Plus the VIP area wasn't open and the VIP camping site was worse than some of the other camp sites which we had to walk through. I was gobsmacked, I've been to quite a few festivals and I have never seen such a shambles! Then you add in the torrential rain...

We got there at 11.30 am, and was back in London by midnight. We just bailed, left the tent and everything (which had already sprung a leak) and begun to trudge the miles back to a train station in the downpour.

Plus it's the only festival I have been to where once you leave you can not return. Absolutely ridiculous! The "win" actually cost me quite a few £100s as we had to get taxis, trains, coaches...

However on the bright side - the return was actually a fantastic experience as we had to be really resourceful in order to find ways back as even the police woman wouldn't give us a taxi number!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • I've edited my post to include a warning ;)

Oh no - I'm not getting caught twice in one day :D. I am still applying generous amounts of brain bleach, following googling the Louisanna Lounger, thanks very much :D:D:D:D

You don't have to google image it, just regular google for the description which is the funny part

Got one going on at the moment, 3 night break abroad, no flights, can't be taken in school hols (although they're looking into that).

If I do take it we'll probably have to forsake a full week in summer away due to the cost in flights which I'm not sure I'm prepared to do.
