I'm the same, but I have had a few wins where it has cost me. Our VIP trip to Longleat cost us £70 in travel and £50 approx for drinks in the hotel - but compared to what we experienced, it was very muchly worth every penny! We had an amazing time, and to be able to say that we stayed in a posh hotel which charges £100pppn & the cost of our three-course dinner in the evening of over £150 - something which we would never be able to do again from our own pocket - is fab! The actually safari and two days we spent at Longleat the kids loved so I say that £120 odd was definitely worth it!!
Another win was tickets to Escape to the park, in Swansea - took my daughter and travel cost us about £30 I think, spent an hour there, then came home. Too many drunk and high as a kite for me
But, all-in-all I enjoy any win, if I can't get some use then family or a close friend will, and that's greatThanks to all posters :A0 -
EverDecreasingCircles, BIG THANK YOU - you have really made my day, I googled that lounger and it just creased me up. Day not started to good, had a fall out with a friend that had lied to me.0

That lounger is really something... can't believe it was a competition prize! LOL
My worst prize was a runner up prize, a 'Pussay Patrol' t-shirt, (linky) like the one worn on the inbetweeners tv show.. Not sure what to do with it.. it's not really my cup of teaI smile because I have absolutely no idea what's going on:dance:0 -
Most holiday / day trips end up costing, even if it's just petrol and refreshments, but hey, it's an experience we wouldn't be able to afford / justify otherwise.
Grand-daughter and myself loved the X factor final, but it cost us over £100 in train fares & hotel, even getting best deals.Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
EverDecreasingCircles lol that is hilarious.....
I won seven packs of tena lady towels once. I think i must have misread it and thought i was entering for a bale of towels. They didnt sell on ebay so eventually they were dumped in a charity shop (not my usual one) and I ran away quickly.Top wins in 2018: Trip to Iceland, helicopter ride over london, couples massage, £300 flight from Pringles, trip to Paris, cocktail making class and afternoon tea up the shard. .
Top wins in 2017:holiday to the Bahamas, trip to Paris, meal with champagne, a week in a manor house in France with £500 spending money.0 -
Ha that lounger is hilarious brilliant.
Livewire that Pussay patrol T-shirt is brilliant I would love it - you should sell it on ebay if you're never going to wear it you may get a few quid for it x0 -
I only ever enter comps for things I would like to own, but would never buy e.g. gadgets. I've won some nice things from this site.
The worst thing I ever won (before I was a bit more comp "savvy") was a paintball session for me and about 10 friends. I soon found out that the cost of buying paintballs was not factored in and that it was a bit of a "con". I was hounded on the 'phone and email for ages to take up the offer.
I think that most, if not all, of the paintball comps are the same and I stay well clear of them now!0 -
