Tagging in Competitions Time

Hi everyone,

Following on from this post, I'm planning out Tagging on Competitions time. 
Starting off with a pilot test for 'Entry Method' tags.
If Compers find them useful, we can keep them and even add more in future if there is demand.
If they aren't useful, we can disable them. 

Please let us know what entry methods you would like to have a tag?

Here is my first draft for possible entry method tagging.

Main Methods
A1 - Website (Entry Form)           (DEFAULT - so may not be needed?)
A2 - email
A3 - Survey
A4 - App                                       (you need to download & use a 3rd party App)

MSE user derived categories
M0 - Daily Entry
M1 - Enter Early                          (single entry comps with multiple draws until a final end date)
M2 - Newsletter                           (newsletter sign-up is compulsory to enter)
M3 - MD - Mag Daily
M4 - RS - Raffle Site
M5 - On Air
M6 - Effort                                   (you need to write a story or submit a photo etc)
M7 - Collect                                (prize must be collected)
M8 - Geographical Restrictions  (this is my suggestion for a new one that is needed)

Contest Platforms                     (in my opinion these could be combined as a single tag)
G1 - GL - Gleam
G2 - VS - ViralSweep
G3 - SW - Sweepwidget
G4 - RP - Rafflepress
G5 - KS - Kingsumo
G6 - Woobox                               (I suspect this is not needed)

Social Media
S1 - IG - Instagram
S2 - FB - Facebook
S3 - TT - Tik Tok
S4 - X - Twitter

Sorry if I've missed something but do we think that some comps are "Daily" (but not "Mag Daily" or "Gleam" etc), so could maybe benefit from a tag?

Hi everyone,

Please keep your suggestions for tags coming. Particularly the handful of tags you think we should start off with.

We may try adding a small amount of key tags even before we move to new layouts that make tags really powerful - just so that they're all ready, in place and being used.

As a sneak peak at one great new tag feature, when we upgrade you'll be able to follow tags to get notifications when a new comp is posted with that tag

How about a "purchase necessary" tag for competitions that require purchasing a product/ newspaper as long as it is within the MSE limit.

I'm not sure that'd be useful with current tagging tools? -

Seems to me that you'd want that to be able to exclude those comps from what you're viewing (unless you like paying!), but unfortunately, the tagging filters aren't sophisticated enough to let you exclude a tag you don't want in the results.

Edit: My mind maybe too focussed on the filters! - I guess it could be useful if displayed on the list view so you can see before opening.
