For the duplicate tag, there's not much can be done to fix. That should be resolved when we update to the newer layouts in the future.

All tags would apply across the whole forum, and there wouldn't be a dedicated subset for comps.

Yes and no.

There is now a system to restrict tags to certain boards, But these old layouts don't respect it so we're doing something special to hide the other tags right now.

The order of tags would not be fixed but would re-order according to usage.

The current default is Alphabetical. We're doing something special to put them in a certain order. At least initially.

Yes that's the plan!

The new layouts we'll be moving to show tags on the list, but they don't show the checkboxes. So we have to wait until checkboxes are added to the new layouts.

I'd like to really thank all members who have started tagging their comps!

I think the early tags we want are in place now and I don't think much will change for now.

Just to help you see why tagging could be really helpful, even if the tags aren't currently very visible right now, in the next few months I expect we'll be able to show tags AND checkboxes on the main Comps board with filter options at the top

We don't know all the features will be available when switch over, but we're advocating for some powerful filters. My personal ideal (so it's a goal - no promises!) would that eventually you'd be able to filter to the point of:

Show Comps I haven't entered/skipped with Website Entry but not Newsletter.

So please give tagging a try so that when more features become available we already have a large bank of Comps categorised. 🙂

@MSE_Stephen (I have posted this here rather than in Site Feedback)

This evening (14/05) the "add tags" section has disappeared from "New Thread" on Competitions Time.

It has also disappeared when you are editing an existing thread.

The only place it is available is on the "three dots" Edit/Tag/Mute button.

ETA - at 22:00 it is all back to normal - somebody must have pressed the wrong button!

I think another tag should be added for "survey" as there are a fair amount of survey competitions these days 😊

Hi @danny13579

It's the same for everyone currently. Our Comps Time section has been, for a few years, deliberately fixed in an old format so that the Entered/Skipped checkboxes will show.

In the next few months we should be able to upgrade to a new site-wide format that will show tags and checkboxes, as I showed a few posts ago.

Most Complimented Threads auto-tagged?

One quick extra tagging question we'd like to gauge Compers interest in.

With out automations, we have the ability to highlight Comps that reach a certain threshold. For example, we could make it that for comps that reach over 200 Compliments:

• The thread gets a special tag
• A congratulations email is sent to the creator

If this sounds like a good idea, let us know below. If there does seem to be demand, we can start a new thread to work out thresholds etc.

One thing I would really like at the moment is a reduction in the 90 seconds block on further posting after posting two threads. You could (if this is possible) reduce the limit only for users with over 1,000 or 5,000 posts - and remove it totally for those with over 70,000 posts!
