Does the husband in your house pay the bills?

all money is managed by me - 50 / 50 for bills and then we discuss any 20 quid or more spends. simples!0

Isn't love wonderful thing
but reality is that 66% of couples will end up parting company and divorce lawyers get fat on people like you who haven't got a clue who paid/owes/owns what, so will have to pay fat salaries to solicitors to divide it alllllllll up for them
you'll read most posters/couples have both personal money and joint money
makes it very easy to figure out who owns what and shared assets and personal assets - so no need to pay someone else to figure it out if the need arises
LOL....
At the heart of it all is 'Money'...as they say it makes the world go round.....;)
The truth of the matter is.... In majority of cases the husband will always earn more then then the wife....before you ladies start off in your rants....I said 'Majority'....:rotfl:
If you are lucky enough to be able to accumulate a little Wealth over your life, say a second property or some savings and the worst happens and you end up getting a divorce.
Then it won't matter who's money paid for the second property or where the money in the savings came from, it's all fair game as far as layers are concerned. As long as they get their pound of flesh.:jTo be Young AGAIN!!!!...what a wonderfull thought!!!!!:rolleyes:0 -

go 50 50
we have two joint accounts but both have access to them
i earn more then dh
my wages goes in bills account and his in the other
we use the other joint account for general spending but all money si ours
no need for one to pay more than the other
i wouldnt feel right in saying to my husband our bills are x pay half and you spend whats left over on yourself and i will do the same
but each to their own
thats just how we do it:A VK :A0 -

The stuff mine is spent on is extras non essentials
I think it's just a different way of looking at it - we put everything in the pot and pay the essentials first, then some savings and weekly spends and then the non-essentials like holidays. It sounds as if you're doing the same.
The OP was suggesting that the husband would be expected to pay for everything to do with living while the wife spent her salary on clothes and frippery.0
