Free codes for Unlocking Phones OTHER than Nokia's

Great forum.
I was hoping someone could help with unlocking a Sony Ericsson W880i.

I am in Australia, my father-in-law brought it from Germany and left it for me incase my phone breaks.
It is branded Vodaphone.

IMEI 35578501-776070-0-25

Any Vodafone PAYT sim will work in it, but they are barred in more than 1 way, you will need to unlock the whole phone to be able to get a Contract Sim to work in it, they work using different software

no free way.

a local shop/market stall should be able to unlock it for you, but it may work out expensive if its got the latest security certificates on it

just another point (don't know if it'll help anyone else on this thread or not) - from my time working with Vodafone handsets prior to October 2004 were GID1 locked, meaning you could only use a pay as you talk SIM card in them. After October 2004 this was removed and it became possible to use either a contract or a pay as you talk SIM in a payt handset

best bet would be to get a D600E clip from ebay
