Hi all,
I had my lg u880 unlock from '3' at a market stall, after he done it in about half an hour time, at the time he told me everytime I switch on the phone , I have to input a code in to enable the unlocking to work,

Few weeks later, when my contact end with '3', I tried it with a virgin sim , it shows T mobile on the phones display, but when dialed out it came up with 'service unavailable', tried it with Orange Sim, same thing happen, the market guy is not there any more, I cant asked him.

I am wondering is there any setting I have to change on my phone to make it work? many thanks

I think that you would have been better to actually pay 3 for the unlock code, which they will provide after month eleven I believe. Sounds like the market man has not in fact unlocked it.

thanks espresso, you are right, should go to '3' ,

after playing around with different sim card, they all have net work signal but just couldn't make a call 'service unavailable' came up all the time.

insert an old O2 (2g sim i think), and it work, so I think is only good for 2g sim
