You're doing great, Missus. So great, that I'm willing to share my bag of malteasers... *slides bag over*

I'm deeply honoured! *considers hanging Malteaser from a ribbon medal-style, then remembers they melt and a chocolate smeared cleavage is not appropriate for many situations*
I'm sure there are several things I've read recently that have helped with the perfectionism thing and it's obviously sunk in because I can't remember which they were and I'm not going to worry about it :rotfl:

Yup! I have my spades worth and several other people's too I think
I'd say pass us a malteser Nora but I don't really like them i'm afraid.
Rosa the desk was ok - it was angled up from the boot we just had to get them to duck down whilst we got it up at the right angle but it wasn't going anywhere once in place.
You're giving me inspiration to get things done - just put a pic up in my office space which we have moved from our living room (it one I took in NY in 2008 - its of a queens subway train going over a bridge above us - would love to say it planned the shot but it was a lucky click on the way to the airport as I suck my hand and camera out of the taxi window) I often avoid putting up pics as I am always worried about positioning them wrong - silly huh!
Feeling a bit off today, was achey yesterday then woke up in the night freezing and physically shivering uncontrollably. Everything hurt to lie down not matter what position I was in. Then had a random rash come up this morning on my neck / shoulders - which has gone now. Still aching in my hips / legs / back in a way I can only describe as 'growing pains' - which it obv isn't unless I'm a very late sprouter!
Still, at least the weather is gorgeous and sunny
Hope you're feeling better Kerri. And glad to hear that no children were decapitated in your desk transport!
Lovely that you put up your pic - sounds like it's a happy memory as well as a good shot.

It's very nearly Friday :T:cool:
I slept really badly on Tuesday night so didn't get any study done on Wednesday - I was wiped out last night and went to bed early. But am just about to get some done now ready to put me ahead for a weekend of studying and more tidying... rather looking forward to it!
Treated myself to takeaway tonight as it's after dance class so didn't want to be cooking and I won't be spending my eating out budget any other way this month. I shall try and catch up with my YNAB entries over the weekend too, as I'm very behind on it.
Other plans include taking some Ebay photos and finally getting out into the gardenso hopefully a chilled weekend if not a very exciting sounding one

Rosa xx
Then again there are situations where it's entirely appropriate
Sorry you had a bad nights sleep the other night Rosa, hope you have managed to get on top of the study xx
Am feeling much brighter now, think that virus has gone thank goodness. Am totally popped though as have spent the entire day in the garden with OH replacing log roll that goes almost the length of our garden, it's 40cm roll so not light work. One little bit is not quite flush and niggling me so might have to address that. My runner beans have finally sprouted and I planted some tomato seeds today too.
How's your little garden these days Rosa? XFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Sadly I think 'neglected' is the most appropriate word for my garden
though I hope to get to it next weekend.
I have done some studying - and this organisation thing is paying off already since when I chased up the department for submission details it turns out that not only can I submit by post but I have a week more than I thought I did :j
I've got a little distracted tidying as yesterday I put away all the MSc files into a box except for those I want to use now - all that scary stuff neatly packed away - and shredded/ recycled all the bits I don't need to keep. I kept some things including the letter I submitted for my exam exemption just to remind me what a mess I was and to be kind to myself about it and not get like that again. I now have a shelf full of the current course things instead and can find them easily instead of having things lying around in my room and on the kitchen table. Really glad to have done that, it feels such a relief. It was in an appalling mess, things mixed up all over the place which isn't like me - I guess I was trying not to look at it more than I had to. But now it is all cleared and I can immediately find everything, which is good for not just getting it scanned but because I will need some of it for a potential new job and also interviews. Today I also hoovered the terribly messy corner that I hadn't got to because of the stack of filesand reshuffled some boxes. So it feels like everything has been cleared and had some fresh air, even though I still have quite a lot of rearranging to do - and at least now it's all small things that can be done bit by bit in the evenings. I want to pick up some boxes from Muj1 for the stationery bits so that I can fit everything into the bookshelves - and I will probably weed out the books a bit as well.
I have got some studying done and am just about to do some more - i'ts beginning to come together around the plan. Oddly, I think I will also be more able to do more during the evenings now that everything is accessible.
Four items listed on Ebay, one of which has sold already; three more bags for the charity shop in the car; and the next set of Ebay stuff hanging up ready for photos. Absolutely nothing done on YNAB which is most unlike me and needs doing because it will be payday soon; no paperwork scanned yet as sorted the files came first; and there are a few more things still outstanding from my list which will just have to get done bit by bit.
So still ploddingand it's an odd feeling to realise that this set of Ebay money doesn't have to go to debts but is pure profit!

Your sorting out is putting me to shame and I feel that I really need to do some. Fortunately I don't really hoard things (unless I think keeping them will save me money
) and dd is great at throwing stuff out so I don't need to worry there. Also we had a major clear out when we moved so don't really have excess 'things'.
My bathroom cabinet is a disgrace so I will probably start with that.
As you are another advocate of YNAB I'd really like to take a look at that too. Now that there are longer evenings I feel like I can get more done.
Enjoy your ebay profit! It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

The sort out is long overdue in my casewhen I moved in here it was chaos and so I brought an awful lot of stuff I didn't need. I've also been hanging on to things too long for exactly the 'it might save me money in the longer term' reason (even when it made no sense eg when I was paying for storage that cost more than the petrol to take it up to the parents
) and getting nearly DF has really helped me to feel I can stop doing that and just ditch things. I also feel like I have much more flexibility to move both jobs and house and that's helped too, because it gives me a reason to have a clearout ready to move.
My Truthb0mb from Danielle LaPorte (worth a read) the other day said 'Destruction before creation' and it's really stuck with me. That's exactly what I'm doing - tearing down the old things and clearing away the sad times to make space for wonderful new things to arrive

Hello Rosa,
Your updates have been really motivating to read. You're doing so well with everything. I also have a little anxiety retriever so I understand where you're coming from there. I agree that they need to be trained to be useful rather than bringing that feeling of impending doom!
I really like the idea of tearing down old things and clearing away sad times to make space for wonderful new things. I need to make a note of that as those words will really push me along when I'm having a major clear out.

It's just as well I'm still turning up here :rotfl: I seem to have had a slight detour but am getting right back on track
Finally faced the stack of receipts and have just spent a couple of hours muttering at a combo of receipts, YNAB and online banking. I am, um, overspent. Not surprising as I went a teeny bit bonkers with the new freedom and appear to have spent £30 on books (though all things I really enjoyed and will read over and over on the Kindle) and £40 on skincare (though partly needed) as well as things for storage and ordering contact lenses for summer. Ooops. Oh well - I can still clear the card with my train ticket on payday - very annoyed it's cost me a whole £4 in interest :rotfl: ( < zeal of a convert
) - and will just have to catch up by using some of May's paycheque in the end of the month instead of being able to push it all into June. Also, one of the dresses I bought on 3bay doesn't fit me and will be going straight back on there next weekend, so hopefully that will at least make most of its cost back again.
V annoyed that I can't get YNAB to balance  it's out by £9-odd despite having gone through my 3bay and Ama50n orders. If I can't figure it out tomorrow I'll just put an adjustment in.
Today's lesson 1: if you're going to run a tracking system, do the tracking at the time not a mad dash to catch up!
Today's lesson 2: no, you can't just 'keep a rough track of it in your head'. I can't, anyway :rotfl: That's why I have a YNAB to rescue me :A
